I’m very happy with my metric master impact socket set. This set is a must have for anyone who uses metric impacts. These sockets are heavy duty and well marked, making it easy to select the socket you need. It also comes in a well made plastic case along with a full compliment of extensions and a swivel. I couldn’t imagine needing anything else in a 1/2” drive metric set. Never a disappointment with Sunex tools. Thank you !

I am a professional mechanic, and I own and use a lot of impact sockets, from many manufacturers. I have several sets of Sunex impact sockets, and they’ve held their own quite admirably against my high dollar steel. This latest set, teh 43 piece 1/2″ Metric master set, has been the best of the bunch so far. This set includes shallow and deep sockets from 9-30mm, four extensions from 3-15″, and an impact rated swivel adapter. They come packaged in Sunex’s classic red blow molded case, albeit with some extra lid closures to help support the extra weight. The tools are held positively in the case, with no runaways after being thrown around in the bed of my truck for a day’s errands. Onto the tools themselves. I ran the tools for a workweek, in place of my other 1/2″ sockets where applicable. They saw use on cordless impact wrenches, pneumatic impacts, and my 25″ ratchet. Lower control arms, power steering rack, a few struts, subframe bolts, engine mounts. These sockets didn’t skip a beat the whole week, and I never once doubted their ability to do the job. I’ve found room in my top drawer for these, and they’re here to stay.

This socket set is well made. I’ve been wrenching for many decades. It’s not bulky, but strong enough to handle a powerful impact gun on stubborn bolts.

If you are looking for a complete and high quality impact socket set then this is the way to go. The set comes in a really nice storage case with each socket and extension having it’s own labeled spot. The sockets and extensions are CR-MO construction with clear labeling on each socket and perform flawlessly doing jobs from average DIY car repair to industrial heavy equipment repair as I use them professionally, with pneumatic and cordless impact guns. In addition, they are a fraction of the cost of the big name tool truck brands so you really can’t lose!

The main reason I wanted these sockets was the extensions, with 33 inches of extensions there’s not a bolt that can’t be reached. I needed to reach a bolt in the engine compartment of my truck and there was no way I was fitting an impact wrench in the space. The 3″ and 10″ extensions combined made it extremely easy once I figured out what size the bolt was. The case has four latches which helps keep it securely closed which is a really nice feature when you’re moving around 22lb’s of sockets. Great sockets that will last a long time, I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a large 1/2″ set.

I was excited that i had recieved my master tool set in the mail. I opened it and immediately started to work with it. These sunex tools stand up to all the name brand tools out there. they are as good or even better quality than expensive brand tools. The only difference is you are spending much less money and getting quality tools. Also they come in common sizes that are widely used and easily read large numbering. Trust me when i tell you these tools take a beating and will outlast other tools you might have. Sunex tools are the only one for me!

This is the best value of any brand for a large metric impact socket set especially when you consider what you get for the price including the lifetime warranty, quality and size of the set. The sockets have a very nice, quality appearance and no issues while using them. There are no sizes skipped between 9mm-24mm and then the remaining sockets are 26mm, 27mm and 30mm. There are no 25mm, 28mm or 29mm sockets in the set. The radiused corners are a nice feature to reduce fastener corner wear. Each socket has the size stamped on one side and etched on the opposite side making it easier to identify the size regardless of how the socket is positioned. The plastic case also has the socket size molded under each socket opening. The case is well made and appropriately sized with very minimal wasted space. It features two clasps on the front and one of each side towards the front to hold the lid securely closed. The plastic lid on the case is not removable unless you cut it off of the case. It would be nice if the case had a removable lid that attached with plastic or metal pins at the hinges. This would allow the case to be placed it a shallower tool box drawer with the lid off while still giving the benefit of being able to put the lid back on when needed for travel. Sunex knocked it out of the park with this awesome socket set!

Upon receiving these sockets, first thing I noticed is, they come in a nice case. Opening them, sockets were well oiled so no rusting. Which is more than I can say about some other brands. Performance wise, they are holding up just fine with my 1100 ft lb impact. I have even put my 4 foot breaker bar on one, and had no problems. The flex adapter even held up to my impact. Bottom line, for a good quality tool at a affordable price, Sunex has my business!

Great product, very nice coverage of sizes!I upgraded to these about a year ago, from a mismatched set of various branded impacts.I love that this set came with shallows, deeps, a universal adaptor AND impact extensions.Fantastic pricing, and I’ve put some heavy use on these since I’ve owned them. Zero issues!

I have a set of 1/4″ Sunex impact sockets that I use everyday and have not had a failure with them so when the time come to purchase a new 1/2″ drive metric impact socket set I figured why not purchase a complete set and since I have had great luck with the Sunex line I purchased this set of sockets. The sockets came in a plastic molded case that has the sockets laid out so that they are easily accessible with the sockets having large legible size markings, also the kit includes extensions with a universal joint. Sockets are of great quality and is not a inferior metal alloy but the better CR-MO alloy. After a couple of weeks use in an automotive repair shop I would definitely recommend this set to anyone that is looking for a high quality complete set of sockets at a reasonable cost and also having a great warranty in case of a failure that most likely will never happen.

Awesome set and very complete. With the exception of an axle nut socket set this will cover everything you will need to work on todays automobiles and more. The sockets alone are worth it in this set, and then they throw in the extensions, and universal making this set good to go. I used it on a weekend project and am very impressed. Years ago when I worked in the automotive service field a co-worker told me that Sunex impact sockets were a good buy and great quality. Good to see that the quality part still exists when a lot of other brands are lacking in that department and getting by strictly on their name. Very impressed. Keep up the good work Sunex!!

I had some other impact sockets that were thin walled and made of Cr-V. After shattering a few with my impact, it was time for something better. These Sunex impact sockets are made in Taiwan of Cr-Mo, which is considerably stronger than Cr-V. I’ve been using these sockets with my Milwaukee FUEL impact and they can take the torque with no with problems. The walls of the sockets are thick but I’m still able to get into tight places, such as the clearance around lug nuts. The universal joint and extensions also make it a lot easier to get to hard-to-reach fasteners. The case is very beneficial. It keeps the sockets in order and I can just grab the case and throw it in my truck when I’m on the go. The only negative I can think of is that 25mm, 28mm, and 29mm sockets aren’t included. However, in all my years of wrenching, I’ve very rarely needed sockets in those sizes. Overall, this is a quality set of impact sockets. I’m confident they will last me for many years to come.
