When I first received the set, I didn’t have much going on but finally got a chance to use them. They are very strong sockets. The swivel sockets are designed similar to the older snap on sockets I have. The only drawback to the swivel sockets, the bigger sizes are a little shallow for my preferences. I like the 1/4” bit adapter. It will come in handy using a 3/8” impact on the Thomas C2 Phillips head door screws that are installed with Loctite. Overall this is a really well designed socket set. I hope to purchase a fractional set soon!

The Sunex 3351, 51 piece set is a very well thought out and complete set. I like that the sockets (shallow, deep, and universal) in the set are complete from 7mm to 22mm with no skipped sizes. All the sockets are contrtucted from CR-MO alloy steel and durable. They are well machined and feel tight on nuts and bolts. Each socket is dual marked with a stamped and gold painted marking for easy identification. The set comes in a heavy duty blow mold case that is great to keep all the sockets organized and easy to find with individually numbered spots for each socket.This is my first set of Sunex impact sockets. After seeing the quality of the sockets, I will not hesitate to purchase other Sunex impact socket sets or to recommend them to anyone looking for quality impact sockets at a competitive price.

The 3/8″ drive metric impact set is a one-size-fits-all for 3/8″ drive applications. I am currently using it paired with an automatic 3/8″ ratchet from another brand that also uses red as their primary color 🙂 That said, the crown jewel (or jewels) of this set are the universal joint sockets. These come in handy so you dont have to be at the perfect angle, which reduces wear on bolt heads and nuts. They may not work in low clearance situations as they are quite large, but that can be overlooked with how much utility they provide.Otherwise, everything else in this set is pretty standard. The sockets are well-made, well-marked, and in general I have no complaints. Have only had them a couple weeks, so time will tell, but I don’t foresee any issues that aren’t directly caused by me.

All I can say is wow! This is a perfect starter set for any incoming technician and a perfect price. It covers all the bases. And the quality it top notch right there with snap on if not better at a fraction of the price. I have been using the sockets everyday at work and they are wonderful. This set is awesome, the only one I have found on the market that comes with all those sweviels, which are excellent when doing transmission R&R, Senex knock a neither home run with this set in my opinion.

Executive summary: buy this socket set, it is well worth the money.This is the 7th product I have from Sunex (socket sets, wrench sets, plus an air impact wrench). Top quality tools, reasonable price, excellent value. I wish I had purchased Sunex tools years ago. There are 3 things I really like about this socket set: 1) It is a complete set: short, deep, and swivel sockets that cover all nut and bolt sizes 2) The socket set comes in a nice case, so you can instantly see if any tools are missing at the end of a job, and 3) all sockets are 6 point sockets, less likely to ever round off bolt corners (I only buy 6 point sockets now).Minor cons: as stated above, this set is complete, with sockets from 7 to 22 mm, with no missing sizes (very nice). The reality is for 7 mm bolt sizes, I am probably going to grab my 1/4 inch drive set. For 22 mm, I will probably grab a 1/2 inch drive socket. Having said that, I like having one set that covers virtually everything I work on. With a job, I can grab this set and know I won’t be needing to go back to my tool box.

As always Sunex sockets never fail to impress. Finish is great, well marked. Then add the fact you have every size from 8 through 22, makes this a great purchase. Will be buying the stabdard set next.
