Hardwood Handle Sliding T bevel From Swamson is very well made it works and looks great 9in is just the right size. I can carry it in my shop apron to use with my lathe, band, table and scroll saws. Great to transfer angles or as a depth gauge even on the drill press. Easy to read etched stainless steel one side in cm and 32ths other side 8ths and 16ths . This gets a lot of use with a lot of projects

This is probably the best quality level of this size that I have ever owned or seen. It has a great feel in your hands with the weight and size that you need for so many small jobs around your home or business. It is made with aluminum but has a heavier feel than you would think. It has 4 magnets on one side that hold it very well to anything made of steel. This small level also has bubble vials for all common angles including horizontal, vertical, 45 degrees and 90 degrees. The rubber ends protect it from damage if you drop it, which I have done before and that’s not a good thing with levels. This is a great level for hanging pictures and mirrors. I’m sure it will outlast me. This is a really nice level that I will use a lot and would recommend it to anyone. Two thumbs up to Swanson on this one.

I’ve owned a handful of torpedo levels and this is by far the beefiest one. It’s solid and it feels really sturdy. The magnets are impressive, even putting it against light gauge metals it holds solid. I like the fact that you can see from various angles(both sides, above, and even below on one). The rubber impact caps on the end feel pretty good. Overall I’m pretty happy with this level and it’ll be my go-to for the strength of the magnets alone.

Just looking at this level I knew it was solid. Aluminium machine sides. With a very strong magnet on the side. Once it’s stuck something metal it wont fall off. This level has three different degrees of angle. And of course 0 degrees level. On both sides of the level there is a nine inch scale in centimeters and inches. And if you happen to drop rubberized ends to protect your level if it gets dropped. For quick smaller jobs this level gets the job done. And the orange color is pretty eye catching too. Affordable and good quality. You wont go wrong buying this level…

I have had this level for about a week now, and as Torpedo Levels go, this is one of the best I have used. The tool sports an all aluminum construction that is a mix of machined and extruded surface finishes. The level is a nice orange finish, with silver/white text, and has 4 easy to read bubbles at 0, 30, 45 and 90 degrees, respectively. The level is quite a bit heavier than I expected it to be, giving it a quality feel in the hand. The corners are protected by rubber bumper / end caps that should protect the thing against the occasional bump or drop from a respectable height. I don’t know if I would drop it off a roof, or anything… but it feels like it would easily stand up to typical job site abuse. The magnets are quite capable of securing the level to a ferrous surface even under less than ideal conditions. The Level can be used on flat surfaces, as well as on rounded surfaces like on tubes, railings, etc. The bumpers also house some holes that could be used for belt clips, or the like, but they are small, and would probably be limited to something like leather or para-cord loops.Pros: Solid Construction Nicely machined surfaces Easy to read Bubbles Strong MagnetsCons: Difficult to read Markings (very fine font on a shiny surface makes it hard to read in detail under most of the lighting conditions I tried) Poor Packaging (which only matters before purchase, really)

Very sturdy feeling, totally unlike plastic levels. One side has an English ruler, the other a metric scale. Very handy. Bumpers on each end. Nice degree and pitch markings on both sides. The magnets on one edge are 4 button style, spaced evenly, and are quite powerful. The .029 degree vial accuracy for all four levels is quite impressive. Solid and durable feeling, I expect this to last for a very long time.

It’s a lot heavier than I expected. I think the whole piece is a machining block of aluminum. There are magnets on onside that lets me stick this thing on a vertical pole as shown in the photo. The water level has 0, 45, 90 degree measurements as I have seen in most products out there, but it also includes 30 degree. There’s a ruler on both sides; one side in centimeter and inches on another side.

What we were looking for is accuracy and we have found it in this 11″ Magnetic Torpedo Level. The pictures I first saw of this level did not show the details this product has . It is .029 vial accuracy, Aluminum, 3X stronger and they guarantee accuracy for life. Has 3 display modes; degrees, percent of grade and pitch. The vials on these levels will not decrease from there stated accuracy. Color of level is outstanding.

This is Swanson‘s Savage Series 11 inch aluminum torpedo level. It is well made and has a lot of nice features. The level has four level vials in it, one for measuring level, one for measuring 90°, one for measuring 45° and something I have not seen on a torpedo level before, a fourth one for measuring 30°. It has openings in the frame to be able to see the level, 45° and 30° vials from the top edge of the level, and the holes also increase the available light to make the vials easier to read from the side. The vials’ accuracy is 0.029°, which is +/- 0.0005”. There are measurement scales on the bottom of each side, an 8 inch scale on one side, with 16th of an inch increments, and on the other side, the scale is marked in centimeters and millimeters. The top and bottom of the level have fine lines milled in them, improving their grip, and the bottom has super strong neodymium magnets inset on it, to grip metal surfaces, too bad there’s not a “wood” magnet, eh? You could keep it in the same tool box that you keep your board stretcher in, yeah? The level has shock adsorbing end caps to protect it from drops, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The color of the level makes it stand out among other tools and materials, making it easy to find where you last laid it down. I don’t see any negatives on this torpedo level; if you are on a group worksite it will be a tool you will want to scratch your name or initials on to keep it from walking off.

The aluminum torpedo level is awesome. It has a magnetic side. The unit is very solid and will last for ever. There are 4 bubble tubes that are used for different angles that are awesome. The bubbles are very easy to read with very bright coloring to make it easy. The angel explanations are printed on the front of the level to make things easier. This is a definite must have.

The Swanson Brand, 11 in. Magnetic Torpedo Level is likely as rugged and long lasting as they come with a lifetime warranty, a strong heavy aluminum frame, and four fixed well protected vials. There are no electronics or batteries to fail. Four strong magnets give this level incredible holding power on ferrous metal surfaces, movement won’t allow it to shift when leveling appliances or steel storage cabinets. There are useful rulers in both inch and metric scales on each side of the level. Having just received this 11-inch torpedo level I went around our home straightening the framed pictures that hang on the walls. I also checked our range for level. I wasn’t surprise to find that due to settling, the walls of our 45-year-old home are now out of plumb. With residential carpentry, I usually prefer working with the longest level I can get away with, yet a small torpedo level like the Swanson brand level will fit in places larger levels cannot go and its size makes a great all-purpose level for any home owner.

This is a heavy duty and high quality magnetic torpedo level. It offers four different levels including zero, ninety, forty-five, and thirty degrees. A ruler on one side measures nine inches and the opposite side is twenty-two centimeters. It includes four strong built-in magnets; however, I imagine I’ll mostly use this for woodworking and may not utilize this feature.
Audreanne Sporer (verified owner) –
PROSThe level is heavy duty and will tolerate being dropped, stuffed into a toolbox and rugged use on a job site. The bubble windows are easy to read, the lines are dark but not too thick as to obscure the reading. The addition of a 30 degree window is awesome, almost no one has this. Strong magnets and serrated edge will hold tight and not slip on metal surfaces. The V-groove and serrated edge on other side will hold onto corners and curved surfaces.CONSThere is a smell of lubricating oil when removed from packaging – could have been cleaned before packaging. The plastic packaging not marked as to its recyclability, maybe use cardboard instead for easier recycling. Tool is made in China. Would prefer tools be made in the USA

The Swanson 11″ torepdo level feels very durable. It has a good weight to it, along with a wide frame. This level feels like it will last a lifetime of use. The level has 4 very strong neodymum rare earth magnet’s that stick to any magnetic material and will stay where you put it. One side of the torepdo is flat while the other has a grove to sit on pipes better. The vials are easy to read and are very accurate and are set for 0, 30, 45 , and 90 degrees.

YOU CAN FEEL & SEE THE QUALITY IN THIS 11 INCH. MAGNETIC LEVEL. HAS A GREAT FEEL IN THE WEIGHT, JUST HEAVY ENOUGH TO KNOW YOU HAVE THE LEVEL IN YOUR HAND AND LIGHT ENOUGH THE CARRY IN YOUR POCKET. 4 LEVELING VIALS FOR 30*,45*, 90* OR 0* USAGE. EASY TO SEE THE VIALS & THE BRIGHT ORANGE MAKES IT EASY TO FIND WHEN YOU LAY IT DOWN. THIS LEVEL SHOULD LAST A VERY LONG TIME.

I love this pocket size, lightweight, magnetic level. Plus Orange is my favorite color. I am a stickler for level pictures, furniture and with any construction or hanging project. Can’t stand things off by even a fraction. This has great angles, perfect lettering, a ruler, magnetic grip for those projects and nifty shock absorbing end caps when I let go of it. Prevents dents or breakage. These Savage line levels are a good deal for the price. Will last me a lifetime without denting like all my old aluminum levels.

There are a lot of instances when this level should come in handy. Firstly it has strong magnets to hold it to a vertical surface and on the opposite side a recessed “V” surface for using on round edges. It has four (4) easy to read level vials along with inch and metric measurements markings.Add to this a solid feel, a nice finish and openings for hanging up in storage.
