As described. No hiccups. Given today’s transfer speeds, they should come as stock installs.

Decided to get this for my 1821+ since I wanted actual 10-gig support. Works like a charm.

I have an iMac Pro (2017) that has a built-in 10GbE NIC. Adding this card to my Synology 1621+ and running a direct Cat6 between the two (I just need it for myself) gave MASSIVE performance increases. This is an upgrade that was well worth the expense.

I’m getting 250MB/s on a 2.5GB hub and 550MB/s on a 10GB hub with existing CAT6 wiring, which is a substantial improvement from the 100MB/s on standard Gigabit Ethernet. I’m happy with my purchase & installation was a breeze.

Been working great so far… I just wish Synology didn’t have vendor lock-in, requiring either their adapter or a select few 3rd party adapters. Because of this, I will likely move on from Synology once the proprietary power supply inevitable fails. If I build my own NAS, I could at least service the thing myself and use a wider variety of hardware. Every single time I either need an upgrade or have a problem, I regret buying a Synology NAS a little bit more.

Optimal upgrade, simple installation and immediate operation. Be sure to set up your 10Gb network, cable, 10Gb ports, enable Jumbo frames compatible in MTU 9000 and try to incorporate a ssd cache in your NAS.

Popped this card in my DS1621+ Synology and that was that. 10 gigabits and FASTTT transfers. The shipping, packing, and product were all excellent.
