Comprehensive and complete, the TEKTON 3/8 in. Drive Socket Set (45-Piece) is a master 3/8 in. drive set with every size from 5/16 to 3/4 in. and 8 to 19 mm in both shallow and deep lengths. It also includes a universal joint and 6-in. extension rarely found in other sets. Each socket has a high-torque, 6-point design that grips flat sides of fasteners, not corners, preventing round-off. Needing just 5° of swing to operate, the smooth, finely geared 72-tooth ratchet is not limited by tight spaces. For superior performance, all tools are made from premium chrome vanadium steel and protected by a mirror chrome plated finish. This set exceeds my expectations. The fit and finish are excellent. I had a potpouri of 3/8 drive ratchets, drivers, sockets etc. but didn’t seem to ever have the right combination after a long search in the tool box. This set has all I’ll need in a well designed case that’s easy to access and see what you’re looking for at a glance. Love the fact that I now have a comprehensive set in mm and inch sizes that are deep and shallow. I also bought the 1/4 inch drive set, and I’m just as impressed with it. These are must haves for a homeowner.

Nice compact case and a great price for the set. I priced several name brand sets for half the sockets at about the same price. An entire set of 6 point sockets is hard to find.

I like the overall quality with the exception of the ratchet. The 3/8-inch ratchet lever/selector on the back malfunctioned in two ways the first time I tried it. While using the ratchet with the lever either to the right or left and turning the ratchet, the lever suddenly switches to the middle position, and does not catch any teeth and the ratchet turns freely left and right. The other malfunction happens when pushing the lever switch to the right or left, it snaps into a middle position. I have other ratchets made by different manufactures, and Their lever switch never not stop in the middle. Also, there is one deep socket (size 18mm) that has some rust on the inside of it.

The sockets are good but the ratchet slips out of drive position and just freewheels. Theni must stop and reengage the lever. Going to try didassembly and relubing it.
