Calibrated to an accuracy of +/- 4%, the TEKTON 3/8 in. Drive Click Torque Wrench lets you work with confidence, eliminating guessing and the common tendency to overtighten fasteners. Correctly tightening fasteners to vehicle or equipment torque specifications ensures parts are properly secured without being damaged. Simple and easy to use, this wrench has a reversible ratcheting head that drives fasteners in both directions and measures torque in the clockwise direction. To measure torque, set the desired value on the handle scale (foot pounds or Newton meters) and begin tightening the fastener. When the preset torque value is reached, a reliable mechanical operation inside the handle produces a click you can hear and feel, alerting you to stop applying force. Built for consistent performance and years of dependable service, the mechanical design does not need batteries and the all-steel construction has no plastic parts to break or wear out. Important: This wrench is shipped pre-calibrated and ready to use. To help maintain calibration, store at its lowest setting of 10 ft./lb. (13.6 Nm) when not in use. Be sure to read and understand the operator’s manual, including all safety information, before first use.

I like this torque wrench. However, I am having difficulty with the knurled micrometer handle. I cannot set it to 80 ft. lbs. The max I can turn it to is 60. It stops at 60 and will not turn further. I have contacted Tekton, and waiting on a response.I purchased this to torque a lawn mower blade (60 ft.lbs.) so this worked out ok. However, I may request a replacement or return to store and purchase another.

The wrench worked as expected and was in the range (10-80 ft. lb.) I needed. The price was good for a tool that I don’t expect to use a lot, but needed to have.

I used this to torque tongue jack bolts to 20 ft lbs. It worked well and made a noticeable click when the required torque was reached. Very happy with this wrench.

I bought a $109 Husky torque wrench after I ordered the Tekton for $39. The Tekton arrived before I used the Husky. Frankly the Tekton was the one I chose to keep. Easy to use, lighter but sturdy, and lower cost. I was going to keep both, but saw no use in having two same sized torque wrenches for one specific use for my RV

Tekton tools are great. I own a lot of them. I have several of their torque wrenches and recently added the 3/8 drive to my collection. If you’re considering buying their torque wrenches, remember you’re buying a no thrills torque wrench. It does the job, it’s accurate, and it’s the right price. Tekton stands behind their products too with a lifetime warranty. One of the best features of this torque wrench is the audible click when you reach the right torque. It also comes in a nice blow molded case.

At first I wondered about the click, at low foot pounds but worked well. Very good value.

My first time buying and using a torque wrench. I used it to tighten my spark plugs. At first I wasn’t sure what the click should sound like when the torque had been reached. But after a few tries I got the hang of it. Definitely got the job done.

Great value! This unit is very easy to use and appears to be very accurate (consistent with my old beam style and my other click wrenches. The best feature is the easy-to-read numbers.

Very nice torque wrench for smaller areas with lower torque specs.

I bought this to replace an old one of mine I use primarily on motorcycles where precision is everything. I have had a great experience with this, well worth the month and cheaper than the big names but just as good.

Purchased online and had it delivered to store. Arrived in a couple of days. Shipping was fast. Used it right off the get go to torque calipers at 25lbs. Worked really well at the lower settings.

I bought this tool with one simple application in mind – to torque down my lawnmower’s blade to the correct specification. I used it for that purpose and it worked perfectly. My impression is of a good quality tool right out of the box. I expect I’ll have it around for many, many years to come.
