Built for use with impact tools, the TEKTON 1/2 in. Drive Deep Impact Sockets effortlessly break free rusty suspension and exhaust bolts, quickly remove stuck lug nuts, and loosen crank bolts with ease. TEKTON impact sockets efficiently transfer torque from impact wrench to fastener, loosening the most stubborn nuts and bolts. Made from high-strength chrome vanadium steel, our impact sockets are more resistant to drive end round out than standard impact sockets, resulting in a longer useable life. TEKTON impact sockets meet or exceed ANSI performance standards. The high-torque, 6-point socket grips the broad, flat sides of nuts and bolts, not just the corners, so there is no need to worry about stripping fastener head or damaging socket. An extra-deep broach enables you to access the entire length of fasteners. Even in low light, the high-contrast, permanent laser etched size markings are easy-to-read. This set of Texton impact sockets are built to take a punishment in removing rusted bolts/nuts. Solid steel construction and it comes with a handy carrying case. Was so impressed with this set, my next tool addition will be the SAE set. Can’t beat the price Home Depot sells it for.

I was excited to use these impact sockets with my newly acquired Milkwaukee impact but to my surprise, they ended up being of lesser quality than I expected. When I went to use them to take off lug nuts for the first time, the lug nuts kept getting stuck inside the sockets. At first, I thought maybe it was just the lug nuts that were worn on the edges. But then, when I used them on a completely different vehicle, I found them to have the same issue. Finally, to confirm it was in fact the sockets at fault, my brother used his Snap-on sockets on the same lug nuts and had no issues. I know it’s not really an apples to apples comparison between sockets but you would think they would be of better quality than they really are.
