I have used many locking pliers before and have to say these are comfortable to use and strong. I am in the middle of a restoration project and have used these numerous times to assist in disassembly of several types of piping and they have performed very well. In the past I had problems keeping this type of plier from loosening up under pressure but these are holding tight as needed. They also work for holding a joint together when welding.

There’s nothing like a good pair of vise grips. When you just don’t have an extra arm hanging off your body to hold down that piece you’re working on, these pliers do the trick. Those of us in the repair industry use them all the time. There’s that nut that keeps spinning, the screw that doesn’t have the slot or cross on the top to hold with a screwdriver, or the three pieces of metal your trying to weld or bolt together that these lock-jaw pliers will help you with. This pair of pliers come as a set; one with a needlenose style, the other round jawed. The nice thing about these two is the release bar on the handle you just push and the jaws will release. I know I’ve locked down on something and just don’t have the room to pull the handles apart to release the grip, so this bar is super handy. A quick pinch and bingo, it’s released.I just got these & I’ve already put them to good use. I know you’ll like this set, I sure do!

The pliers have exceeded my expectations. The mechanical movements are solid and precise with no “play”. The release mechanism is smooth and designed to protect your fingers when releasing a tight grip. My favorite feature is the hole in the tension adjustment knob that allows a good size screw driver to be inserted providing leverage to tighten or release tension.
