Yesterday I had the need to completely disassemble a pool table, and boy was I happy I had this set of steel pliers. The long nose pliers came in especially handy when trying to get to some hard to reach nuts. This set is comprised of six total pliers, 2 each large and small sizes of 3 different types of pliers: Straight, curved, and long nosed. The pliers all feature a quick release lever which allows you to unlock the pliers with a single hand (see photos). Also, when tightening the pliers (via the screw), the screw mechanism features a hole into which you can use a small screwdriver to provide easy torque, making life a bit easier on your hands and fingers. This set provides a good range of pliers in terms of sizes and types that will bolster any toolkit.

The Tekton Straight, Curved, Long Nose Locking Pliers Set (6-Piece) is a set of excellent tools. With three straight jaws and three curved jaws this may be all the locking pliers you need in your tool box. Unlike some other famous brand locking pliers, these have a pull to release lever that allows you to unlock the pliers with a single hand. It also has a hole through the adjusting knob that allows tightening or loosening the pliers after they have been locked. The long nose pliers are somewhat heavier than the other brand and they offset much less when twisting. You can see the thickness difference in the pic below. The finish is smooth. They are made in Taiwan. So, these tools are high quality but still cost a few dollars less than some other brands. They are an excellent value.
