Description
TEKTON 6-point sockets are ideal for working with hex-shaped fasteners. They’re designed to grip the sides and not the corners of the fastener heads, which prevents round-off. The large, die-stamped markings are permanently impressed into the material and optimized for readability. A mirror chrome-plated finish protects against corrosion and easily wipes clean.

I feel a little strange reviewing a socket, but it did the trick for me. I needed this particular size to use with a Tekton torque wrench capable of applying a torque of ~80 inch pounds to install a cartridge in a Delta kitchen faucet, along with an adapter to go from the 1/4″ drive to the 1/2″ socket. That was also in a set by Tekton. Together they worked like a professional unit. It sure is good to have that faucet working without leaking. And I did it myself! I don’t know if the plumber who installed the last one used a pro setup like this, but that installation didn’t last more than 2 years. Applying the correct amount of torque is critical for this job.
