Description
TEKTON 6-point sockets are ideal for working with hex-shaped fasteners. They’re designed to grip the sides and not the corners of the fastener heads, which prevents round-off. The large, die-stamped markings are permanently impressed into the material and optimized for readability. A mirror chrome-plated finish protects against corrosion and easily wipes clean. Included with the set is a sturdy, well-marked case to keep the sockets securely organized.

EXTENSIVE RANGE of BOTH SAE and METRIC SOCKETS; QUALITY CASE — The TEKTON 3/8 Inch Drive 6-Point Socket & Ratchet Set, 74-Piece (1/4-1 in., 6-24 mm) is an outstanding ratchet and socket set. The range of the sockets, in both regular and deep, from 1/4-1″ and 6-24mm should provide what is needed in most situations. I like having one middle range set that will do most tasks thus eliminating the need to always have three sets available. With 6 point sockets, the corners of nuts and bolts will not become rounded. The ratchet is quick-release. The sockets have large, clear, etched sizes. The set includes an 18″ breaker bar, 3″ and 6″ extensions, and a universal joint. The breaker bar has been useful in removing the oil drain plug and will be useful in removing lug nuts in the future. I was most impressed with the design of the case. The SAE sockets are in the upper part and the metric in the lower part. The regular sockets are in one row ordered by size and the deep sockets are either above or below with the sizes noted in large numbers between the rows. That makes it easy to locate the size that is needed. The non-socket items snap into the lid. There are round nubs protruding in each regular socket location to help keep the sockets in place. See photo. The case has strong hinges and latches. It has a handle for easy carrying. The only sockets missing are those for spark plugs. Tekton has an outstanding warranty should any problem arise.
