With a 90-tooth gear that produces a working swing arc of just 4 degrees, the Tekton 3/8 Inch Drive x 8 Inch Quick-Release Ratchet doesn’t need much room to operate. Smaller than “low profile”, its ultra-compact head is reduced in every dimension—height, width, and length—allowing it to slip into tighter spaces than other ratchets. Its polished exterior has a chrome plated finish that’s corrosion-resistant and easy to wipe clean.

This Tekton 3/8 IN. DRIVE X 8 IN. QUICK-RELEASE RATCHET (90T) is a great ratchet. The finish is perfect and the function is even better. The gear inside makes that soft clicky sound that means it is very well made and won’t strip on you if you apply some torque to it. I tend to be an over-tightener (I am usually the only one that can loosen anything I have tightened.)

Best ratchet money can buy under 100.Buy this. I never write reviews and am geeked over the quality. Made in Taiwan

So far, works and feels much like much more expensive pro tool brands. Happy with my purchase.

I had all the original Tekton 72T ratchets and thought they were very good, but the direction lever being opposite every other ratchet irked me. The new 90T ratchets use a normal switch with a floating pawl giving them great smooth action. I have since purchased the new 90T ratchets in all available sizes.

I have a hodge podge of sockets and ratchets. The sockets manage to make a set, but the ratchets are not the best working piece of machinery. They skip and jump and sometimes don’t change direction. This is a smooth working ratchet that changes directions easily and smoothly. And what is the best part of it is that it releases the sockets without prying them off, just push the button.

This 3/8’s drive ratchet has been good and strong. I’ve used it multiple time over the past couple weeks and it’s been great it ratchets well and doesn’t try to slip or kick out like cheaper ratchets do. The push button locking mechanism works great very easy to install or remove a socket or extension and when locked on don’t have to worry about it falling off. I would recommend to anyone needing a good ratchet.
