With a 90-tooth gear that produces a working swing arc of just 4 degrees, the Tekton 1/2 Inch Drive x 24 Inch Quick-Release Ratchet doesn’t need much room to operate. Smaller than “low profile”, its ultra-compact head is reduced in every dimension—height, width, and length. Sleek and comfortable, the extra long handle gives you the leverage to easily loosen stubborn nuts and bolts. Its polished exterior has a chrome plated finish that’s corrosion-resistant and easy to wipe clean.

I needed some leverage! This clearly was the way to go. When working with sockets I like to apply just the right amount to tighten and need that extra length to loosen those stubborn items. The 24″ length is great for both of those. Also, when I need to reach way into the deep areas of an engine or a machine the length on this allows me to not need the pipe to extend the ratchet we all have done for years. Get this!

Nice & solid but little to no lubrication. While disassembling I lost a spring which I found later. Lubed it w/good grease. Used it on auto repairs in place of a breaker bar. Does the same job but ratchets back in place. Much better to use especially situations where you can only use one hand.

I have a hodge podge of sockets and ratchets. The sockets manage to make a set, but the ratchets are not the best working piece of machinery. They skip and jump and sometimes don’t change direction. This is a smooth working ratchet that changes directions easily and smoothly. And what is the best part of it is that it releases the sockets without prying them off, just push the button.I also like the fact that is 24 inches long and makes it easier to remove nuts that are stuck on.

I really like this ratchet. It’s long enough to work as a breaker bar on tight bolts/nuts. It’s 24 3/4″ long so it gives you a lot of leverage. The fit/finish is as good as I’ve seen from any tool maker. Press the button and sockets can be put on or taken off easily. Once they’re on, they’re really locked on. They won’t come off until you push the button to remove them. The ratcheting mechanism works well and feels solid. No slipping at all. The first time I used this was to remove a wheel/tire from a mid-sized tractor. Worked like a charm taking it off and putting it back on.If I were to recommend improvements to this ratchet it would be in the handle. Knurling on the handle and maybe make it a little thicker. Do that and it would be perfect.
