TEKTON Ratcheting Combination Wrenches offer the speed and ease of a ratcheting box end that stays continuously engaged with fasteners, eliminating the need to re-fit after each turn. A 6-point opening provides a sure, snug fit on hex-shaped fasteners so you can apply maximum torque without slipping off, preventing knuckle aggravation. To prevent round-off, the box end opening contacts and applies force to the flat sides of fastener heads rather than the corners. Equipped with a 72-tooth ratchet gear that needs just 5 degrees of swing arc to reach the next tooth position, it is fast and efficient when there is not much room to move. The open end is angled 15 degrees, allowing the wrench to be flipped over with each rotation to engage the fastener twice as often when you are working in tight spaces.

MY NEED:I needed a 24mm “ratcheting” wrench to save time & frustration when assembling a home gym power rack with 32 bolts and nuts (I already owned a 24mm “non-ratcheting” wrench). My socket set doesn’t have a size this big, and I didn’t want to buy a whole new socket set just for one size socket.THE ORDERING PROCESSI ordered the Tekton 24mm ratcheting wrench online, and I am VERY pleased with the service and updates I received from Home Depot! (Their updates included confirmation of my order, when it shipped, when it was out for delivery and when it was delivered!). The wrench arrived on time, and I plan to order online thru Home Depot again!WHY I BOUGHT ITI did not own any Tekton wrenches and I didn’t know anything about this brand. There were no reviews on this particular wrench on Home Depot’s site, so I checked the reviews on other Tekton wrenches to see what people generally thought of this brand. The reviews were favorable, so I was ok with that (Plus I know that I could easily return the item to Home Depot if I was not satisfied).I like the fact that it has a 6 point box end to fit hex nuts tighter than say a 12 point box end wrench (So it is less likely to strip a bolt/nut or round the corners than a 12 point).SUMMARY: The Tekton 24mm wrench initially seems like a good quality wrench, but only time & use will tell (It seems as good as any of the basic brands I own, like Craftsman & Husky). The price was decent, and I am satisfied with my order!
