While firewire is considered outdated there is no need for very high resolution systems for Internet feed and it is to be reduced anyway. There is a lot of older equipment that use Firewire and are great for Internet.Some of the PC cards I bought have the Firewire-800 interface and my equipment is Firewire-400, so this works great.
