   This does what it’s designed to do, hold the Air Direct on a Arca bracket. But they could have made the slot for the foot just a little wider and it would work with other devices and be a great addition to an Arca based system. I also use this with my Pocket Wizards when I want to remotely trigger a camera that has a ttl flash trigger in the hot shoe. This fits the PWIII with the plastic foot, but the PWIV with the metal foot is too thick to slide into the shoe on this clamp. If they had made the slot wider, it would fit. I imagine other devices could also have the same issue. The 1/4-20 thread is a nice addition to use this on a stand or tripod to attach a small camera or flash with a Arca plate.

   Wish the cold shoe was a little better fitted. the Air direct is very secure, however has a little wiggle room and sits a touch crooked more often than not. Not an issue unless you have OCD.
