The orange Tether Tools TetherPro USB 2.0 Type-A to 5-Pin Mini-USB Cable is 1′ long and has gold-plated connectors to provide consistent and reliable conductivity as well as corrosion resistance. The ends of this cable feature a standard USB Type-A male connector and the other side is outfitted with a 5-pin mini-B male plug, which is compatible with most digital cameras.
To deliver data at speeds up to 480 Mb/s, Tether Tools has equipped this cable with USB 2.0 technology. It sports a reinforced Ferrite core that filters out signal noise and reduces transmission errors. In addition, the full-lined shielding feature protects the signal against external interference.

I bought this to add to my D300s in studio and it works great. I use this in conjunction with a MacBook Pro and Adobe Lightroom 4 for tethered shooting and it works great. No set-up needed, and transfers fast into Lightroom software.

I had originally gone with a cheaper USB and I have to say this is very well made and I haven’t had an issue with CO LR or EOS utility since.

Each day we use the TetherPro in our studio to connect our Nikon’s to the IMacs. These new chords we purchased have not failed us one bit! Excellent job TetherPro! It is only 15 feet long so if you like to do TaeBo while taking photographs then you may want to purchase the longer chord! Other than that…no complaints here!

Very nicely crafted piece of gear. It is a cable and does its job as advertised. It seems like it will stand up to heavy use. How long it will last remains to be seen.

I used this shooting a Nikon D7000 in an all day photo shoot. It worked all day with no problems. The orange color made it visible against the dark flooring.

We use this Tether cable for in-studio work. We really like the bright orange cable as it catches the eye and helps avoid us from stepping or tripping over it. The negative, is that it falls out of the camera side jack all the time, even if you have the Jerk Stopper the cable kept coming out of the jack on the camera. We ended up using gaper’s tape to hold the cable in the camera.

Definitely the best USB cable you can get for tethering a camera. Extremely high quality.

Bought to use when photographing Portraits and Portfolio work so that I can see the images on my laptop in a bigger size during the shoot. I have only so far tested it by connecting and taking a few test shots but it worked fine.

I use this product to connect my Nikon D3 to my MacBook Pro to tether with Aperture. It works great, there is a usual delay on download images between the camera and software, but it’s quite normal. Only thing that I needed to teak a little was from the mini usb side I had to cut off a little rubber away so that it could fit into my Nikon D3 Cable Clip.

This cord works great and have I no problems connecting my D7100 to Lightroom. I did learn the tip to take the SD cards out of the camera before connecting or Lightroom tries to read all the files on the cards before acknowledging the camera. Nothing to do with the cable though. I’m happy with this as my first tethering cord.

I typically shoot wireless tether, but I needed this cord as backup for small events where I don’t want to give Murphy an opportunity to kill my workflow. I specifically bought this for use with a Canon Selphy. Works as promised, gets the data to the printer, and is long enough to give me room to move if needed.

This is exactly what I needed. Most cables are shorter and/or black. This bright orange 15′ cable is the way to go. Why make a black cable to tether to a computer in a dark studio I’ll never understand. Having 15′ makes it almost like not being tethered. This works on my d300s and to shi’a laptop.

Shooting tethered is the only way to work for studio portraits. I can even use it for outdoors shooting, if I have some shade for the laptop.

I connect my 6d and Mark2 to Lightroom with this tethering cord. Would suggest this to anyone that shoots in studio and so client can live view to make sure colors are correct for apparel.
