The black Tether Tools TetherPro USB 2.0 Type-A to 5-Pin Mini-USB Cable is 3′ long and has gold-plated connectors to provide consistent and reliable conductivity as well as corrosion resistance. The ends of this cable feature a standard USB Type-A male connector and the other side is outfitted with a 5-pin mini-B male plug, which is compatible with most digital cameras.
To deliver data at speeds up to 480 Mb/s, Tether Tools has equipped this cable with USB 2.0 technology. It sports a reinforced Ferrite core that filters out signal noise and reduces transmission errors. In addition, the full-lined shielding feature protects the signal against external interference.

a 15 ft cable to tether your camera to your computer is a great idea. Good customer service for advising me… The only problem is it often comes out of my camera, disrupting the whole tethering.

This worked great!

I should have purchased the longer cable. But it works perfectly and glad I have a cable to go with my digital Tech setup here in NYC

I connect my 6d and Mark2 to Lightroom with this tethering cord. Would suggest this to anyone that shoots in studio and so client can live view to make sure colors are correct for apparel.

I have been trying to find the correct mini USB plug for my Canon GP-E2 with no success. Thanks to your service person (do not remember his name) I was able to get the correct cord. The shape of the mini plug is different than the GPS but it has the 5 pins and fits on the GP-E2. The 5 pin cord is not easy to find and your person knew just what I needed. Thanks

Nice solid cable. The orange color stands out on set and is a good safety measure for preventing tripping or having your camera pulled over. Get the JerkStopper Camera Support accessory to avoid putting additional strain on your camera’s USB connection. 15′ of length gives you a nice amount of room to work with. Transfer rate is great for single shots & short bursts. Longer bursts will obviously take longer to transfer.

I’ve never shot tethered before. I’m a believer! This cable (along with the table and accessories) kept me organized and, more importantly, gave me confidence that my laptop and camera were secure. Worth the investment in my opinion!

It’s a cable…it worked. I would give it 5 starts except several times I had to reboot my laptop. Of course this could be a problem with the laptop(Mac book pro), Lightroom(tethered capture) or the camera(D7000). No way to tell.

The TetherPro cable is easy to use and offers a nice, long reach. I used this in combination with the JerkStopper and it worked very well for a head shot marathon.

I typically shoot wireless tether, but I needed this cord as backup for small events where I don’t want to give Murphy an opportunity to kill my workflow. I specifically bought this for use with a Canon Selphy. Works as promised, gets the data to the printer, and is long enough to give me room to move if needed.

I had originally gone with a cheaper USB and I have to say this is very well made and I haven’t had an issue with CO LR or EOS utility since.

I really wanted a longer cable but I was unable to find one. This worked perfectly I had enough room to length to move around freely.

This is EXACTLY what I wanted and how did I know? I didn’t! However, there was a patient, kind, polite and knowledgable salesperson at the NYC B&H store who researched for me the right cable to use for tethering. Great product, AWESOME service.

Tethered shooting is definitely the way to go. I used to string together usb cables but it looked very unprofessional. This cable is great. Very well made and should last a long time. I use a jerk stopped on my camera but not on my MacBook Pro Retina I would rather lose a shot from unplugging than have a $3800 computer fall to the floor!

Great works as it should! Like the length of it!

To tether your camera this is a good choice. But make sure which adaptor end is for your camera. For example a Nikon D610 uses a 5 pin connector. A Nikon D750 uses an 8 pin connector and a Canon 7D uses a USB 3 connector.

Just what I needed for my Sony a99! Secure fit cord is just the right length.

This cable is for my New Nikon D750, which is different from my other old nikon cameras. The one nikon provided from the box is way too short for tether shooting. Tried using other cable from cheaper brand. The signal keeps dropping. Not good for shoot. frustrating.. Tried the cable. so far no dropping of signal. Love the orange colour. easier to spot. Preventing from tripping over. Well, only if the price can be cheaper will be nice…

We needed a tough, long cord to go from a Canon mkIV to a laptop for comercial shoots and this was the answer. I was a little put off by the bright color, but I am glad about it now. No confusing it with anything else laying about. Highly recommended!
