The black Tether Tools TetherPro USB 2.0 Type-A to 5-Pin Mini-USB Cable is 3′ long and has gold-plated connectors to provide consistent and reliable conductivity as well as corrosion resistance. The ends of this cable feature a standard USB Type-A male connector and the other side is outfitted with a 5-pin mini-B male plug, which is compatible with most digital cameras.
To deliver data at speeds up to 480 Mb/s, Tether Tools has equipped this cable with USB 2.0 technology. It sports a reinforced Ferrite core that filters out signal noise and reduces transmission errors. In addition, the full-lined shielding feature protects the signal against external interference.

This product was super easy to use! The color of it makes it stand out and quick to spot. It is long enough for all sorts of jobs and really gets it done!

I got this cable to tether my Canon 5DMkII and 5DMkIII to my Apple iMac and my Apple MACBook Pro. It worked great using Lightroom app and the app for the Canon cameras. Very satisified!

Long enough to shoot tethered and not worry that it won’t reach if I move around or that I’m going to trip over the cable to pull over my tripod+camera or knock my laptop onto the floor. Nicely supple, so winding it up for storage is a breeze.

I’ve been an assistant to several pro photographers in my local area for a few years now and this is their go- to tether cable for Nikon, Canon, Hasselblad and Phase One medium format digital backs. The 15′ length responds relativley fast without having to use a booster and allowing plenty of moving space from your computer. I’ll be using my orange cable for tethering between my Macbook Pro and all my Nikon camera’s.

Decided to try cabled tethering and was pretty happy with this product. My only complaint is that I wish it had a right angle plug for the piece that attaches to my camera.

Long and orange.

Shooting tethered is the only way to work for studio portraits. I can even use it for outdoors shooting, if I have some shade for the laptop.

Well, it is a cable that gets the job done and that is what matters. The cable itself, to my surprise, was much more flexible that I had expected and yet sturdy enough for it to deal with constant use.

In my home studio, as a beginner, I’m feeling like a pro as tethering to my IMac. It is awesome.

I use the TetherPro USB Mini_B 5-pin cable to tether my D4 to Adobe Light room software on my Laptop computer for my Event photography. This cable replaced the cable that came with the camera and an extension cable. I have noticed an increase in the transfer speed from camera to computer since I started using the TetherPro cable with a direct connection to the laptop versus connection with an extension cable between camera and laptop.

The color is great for visibility, length is good size to give easy comfort moving around. Do suggest Jerk Stopper with cable to protect from pulling out of camera.

Just what I needed! No complaints, 15′ is perfect for mobility. I use it with my surface pro, boom! click and view.

This cable is very well made and uses quality components. I like the fact the cores are obviously multi-stranded and laid in a way that makes the cable very flexible so there are no annoying kinks and bends when it is in use. The plugs feel secure and solid and the cable works perfectly as far as tethering my camera to my computer. Only four stars because I just don’t see why it has to be so expensive. Some products are very specific to the task for which they are designed, which obviously means they fill a niche and can command a higher price. While the cable is well constructed of quality components none of them are unique and its use is not particularly esoteric.
