   If you like tethering your shots then def invest in this cable … It’s build quality is great . I have not gotten a chance to use it yet because Lightroom 6 has a bug that won’t pickup my Nikon d810 … Which I’m very angry about …

   Just did a shoot tethering Nikon d800 to Lightroom classic CC and it worked perfect. Length is great for moving around easily too and bright colour is a nice feature.

   I purchased the TetherPro cable for my Nikon 850. The port was very secure but I also purchased the safety cord just in case. Both worked great. A full day of tethered shooting and I only lost connection once. I would recommend this product.

   I had to shave down the head a bit to fit Nikon tether lock clip, drops connection once in a while due to semi-loose connection. But good overall – I like the thickness to the cord and the L-shape. I wish Tether tools made longer cables.

   I recently purchased the Nikon D810 which requires the a USB 3.0 cable for connection for tethering. I shoot mostly in studio and at times, on location, require the use of my laptop. Shooting tethered allows the clients to view the images in real time and on a large screen (vice on the 3:2 camera screen. This cable allows me to accomplish my assignments and capitalize on the momentum of the session.

   This is just what I needed. The connection from my D5 to my computer is reliable and fast. The length is good for close to computer transfers as well as positioning the computer further away during studio work.

    Standard non-garbage capture cable. Thick shielding, bright visible cord, USB 3 speed. All good things. Most other cables are TRASH and will have problems. This brand doesnt. Not for me anyway. No screwing around researching alternative brands or reputability. Just buy this. Simple. #sweepstakes

    What more can I say … it works perfectly from my Nikon D850 to my laptop so I can shoot teetered. The cable is plenty long enough and sturdy enough for use in my studio environment.

    I was looking for a fast, reliable option for getting my images from my Nikon D-800 to my Macbook Pro for instant client review while on location. Wireless options are limited and somewhat slow. The TetherPro cable is USB3 which is compatible with the D-800 and backwards compatible to USB2 for my 2007 Macbook Pro. It’s a simple, somewhat old school set up that just works. The cable does easily fall out of the camera’s usb port so a Jerk Stopper or other cable support is needed.

    Being a cable there isn’t much to say other than it’s fast, it’s long, and it’s reliable. I primarily use this to shoot product, a situation in which I nearly always shoot tethered. Shooting solo the lag doesn’t necessarily bother me. Working with a crew that lag can be crippling; the art director has to wait for the image, they have to relay their changes to the stylists, and any lag that takes place after the picture is taken is only amplified further downline. Long story short, if you shoot solo this cable is more of a luxury than a necessity. With others on set, though, it will make a world of difference. Pro: Blazing fast data transfer. Con: Isn’t compatible with the jerk-stoppers that are becoming more commonplace among newer cameras. (Shooting on the 1DX II, I can say that it absolutely isn’t compatible. That said, simple fix would be to get the cheaper, non-angled cable).

    Awful expensive but it works. I’m using it to shoot tethered with my 7D II and lightroom CC.
