The orange Tether Tools TetherPro USB 2.0 Type-A to 5-Pin Mini-USB Cable is 15′ long and has gold-plated connectors to provide consistent and reliable conductivity as well as corrosion resistance. The ends of this cable feature a standard USB Type-A male connector and the other side is outfitted with a 5-pin mini-B male plug, which is compatible with most digital cameras.
To deliver data at speeds up to 480 Mb/s, Tether Tools has equipped this cable with USB 2.0 technology. It sports a reinforced Ferrite core that filters out signal noise and reduces transmission errors. In addition, the full-lined shielding feature protects the signal against external interference.

Definitely the best USB cable you can get for tethering a camera. Extremely high quality.

I use the TetherPro USB Mini_B 5-pin cable to tether my D4 to Adobe Light room software on my Laptop computer for my Event photography. This cable replaced the cable that came with the camera and an extension cable. I have noticed an increase in the transfer speed from camera to computer since I started using the TetherPro cable with a direct connection to the laptop versus connection with an extension cable between camera and laptop.

Nice heavy shielded cable. I bought it with the jerk stopper attachments and it works great. Almost got the black but I think this bright orange will help keep people (including me) from getting tangled up in it.

I use this cord as a Tether between my MacBook Pro and my Nikon D5200. The bright color helps keep me from tripping over it all the time. It is also long enough to not have to have a stand close to the camera – which is more expensive than I can justify at the current time.

Bought this cable after watching a video about tethered shooting. Worked perfectly first time without issue.

This gets the job done and works perfectly! I would recommend getting the extension with this because it can be a little short at times espectially when being creative and trying different angles. It is always better to have more then less. That is my only problem and that is the reason I gave it a 4 start. This product is great and you will not regret buying it but you might find yourself ordering and waiting for the extension to arrive. Also the jerkstopper is a must! I have stepped on the cord (because it was too short) many times and it has either been yanked out of the camera or my computer which I would rather not be damaged. I use this to shoot portraits and merchanise and this tether cord has made my life so much easier. It is worth every penny and you will not be disappointed. I shoot with a D600+D5100 and this tether cord fits both perfectly and functions beautifully. Highly recommend with additions

This cord works great and have I no problems connecting my D7100 to Lightroom. I did learn the tip to take the SD cards out of the camera before connecting or Lightroom tries to read all the files on the cards before acknowledging the camera. Nothing to do with the cable though. I’m happy with this as my first tethering cord.

I’ve been shooting tethered in the studio so the client can get more immediate feedback on their poses, etc. This is a perfect solution.

I was asked to shoot portraits for the university where I teach. As an Adobe Lightroom user I knew the software provides for tethered shooting so I purchased the cable manufactured by Tethered Tools. What a time save – portraits are imported directly into Lightroom for any post processing and cataloging. Reviewing the shot on a laptop is much more efficient than the monitor on my Nikon D3. The length of the cablemis perfect and the color is a constant reminder to watch your step.

I’ve tried to transfer files from my Canon 6D, and tether with a 7D and 5DM3, and no dice. Just hangs there. No issues using a card reader or anything else.

Just what I needed for my D3

Long enough to shoot tethered and not worry that it won’t reach if I move around or that I’m going to trip over the cable to pull over my tripod+camera or knock my laptop onto the floor. Nicely supple, so winding it up for storage is a breeze.

15′ TetherPro cable was exactly what I was looking for to replace other cables with extensions. Easy to see in dark studio.
Myriam Schaden (verified owner) –
I really wanted a longer cable but I was unable to find one. This worked perfectly I had enough room to length to move around freely.

Main thing I’ve noticed is the faster transfer speed, not blazing fast but good enough for me. While the orange stands out in the studio and the length gives me freedom of movement, I originally bought this for remote shooting since my camera decides when its had enough and locks up when shooting in wifi. Happy so far….

I have been trying to find the correct mini USB plug for my Canon GP-E2 with no success. Thanks to your service person (do not remember his name) I was able to get the correct cord. The shape of the mini plug is different than the GPS but it has the 5 pins and fits on the GP-E2. The 5 pin cord is not easy to find and your person knew just what I needed. Thanks

Decided to try cabled tethering and was pretty happy with this product. My only complaint is that I wish it had a right angle plug for the piece that attaches to my camera.
