The ends of this cable feature a standard USB Type-A male connector and the other side is outfitted with a 5-pin mini-B male plug, which is compatible with most digital cameras.

Shooting tethered is the only way to work for studio portraits. I can even use it for outdoors shooting, if I have some shade for the laptop.

No extensions to mess with. Can’t miss the orange color, didn’t trip over it once. *

Had the plain tan and black cable and replaced them with this easy to see cable. the length was good.. I like to shoot tethered and 15ft was a good size for my needs

I’d give this a 5 star but the first one I received was bad. It didn’t communicate with my 5D Mk II tethered to LR-5. I called B&H customer service and they quickly determined it was a bad one. Right away they emailed me the warranty papers and sent it back. While waiting for the replacement, I taped two cheap USB cable together to make 10 feet tether. It works, but I still prefer this high quality orange USB from tethered tools.

Tethering while shooting headshots and glamour style shoots is really the only way to go for me. Instant gratification and the clients are more enthusiastic about what is working and understand what is not because they are able to see it full screen on a monitor as opposed to squinting over the cameras display. Combined with the Tether Tools JerkStopper it is an indispensable way of conducting business in today’s fast paced work environment. The connection is very firm and feels much more secure than the cable the camera manufacturer provided. The bright orange color truly does stand out in a dimly lit studio even more so than a white cable I’ve had by a lesser manufacturer.

If you’re shooting portraits and aren’t changing locations rapidly this will become a huge time saver. It’s such a nice increase in mobility.

The orange color led me to this one over the Canon version, but unfortunately, the cable did not fit snugly into the camera. Everytime I flipped the camera vertically, it would come loose and lose connection. This may have been a one off issue, but I returned this one and got the Canon version instead.

The product works fine for tethering the camera to laptop or when downloading the photographs from the camera. The orange color makes it easy to spot in a busy shoot, however I would recommend using a black wire when shooting a reflective subject.

Tether capture gives you the most control over all your photography. Why? Because tethering allows you to see your photos moments after you take the picture. In studio or on location, you can instantly manipulate your lighting conditions to your needs. No need to take hundreds of photos for nothing. No more wasting time. This tether cable has given me a faster, consistent workflow.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Wanted the orange color so people see it while walking around the studio area.

Very nicely crafted piece of gear. It is a cable and does its job as advertised. It seems like it will stand up to heavy use. How long it will last remains to be seen.

I was having problems tethering my Nikon to my laptop. I kept losing the connection. I then bought the Nikon brand cable which helped. I then found this and a used longer one (one for D750 and one for D610) and both worked like a charm. Never lost a connection again.
