Just did a shoot tethering Nikon d800 to Lightroom classic CC and it worked perfect. Length is great for moving around easily too and bright colour is a nice feature.

I use this to tether my 5D Mark IV to my Macbook Pro. Works like a charm!

I’m using this product with my Nikon D800 camera and macbookair during my mostly outdoor portrait shots. This is very useful because it’s long enough and due to its color it can be easy to notice by others. So people can pay attention easily.

Straight up doesn’t work. Total waste of money.
Willy Hickle (verified owner) –
A must have for any studio shooting, and also very useful on location.

Best in class Tether cable for USB 3.0 Cameras. I am a pro and I know!

Works as it should

strong and easy to see. worth the extra money.

Works as advertised. No noticeable delay. Love the orange color in the dim lights. Right angle is the way to go and works better with the jerk stopper than a straight plug.

This product works precisely as described and for tethering in the studio or photo shooting environment. I like the orange color as it visually cues to location and placement and helps to prevent tripping over cable. I recommend this product highly for safety and convenience.

It plugs into my camera and my computer, and makes files transfer. What more do you need? 🙂 The cable itself is thick, likely due to both the quality of construction and the fact it’s USB 3.0. The Male A end fits rather loosely into my MacBook Pro, but that’s not the cord’s fault; the port is only USB 2.0, and too shallow to fit the whole plug. It is compatible though, and transfers files faster than other USB 2.0 cables I’ve used to tether.

Yes, the orange colour makes one look legit but until they have fixed those loose issues / click-lock hooks on the connector, please do yourself a favour and use the manufacturer’s cable. I got myself the 5m Canon cable and my assistants been saying I’m a much calmer person since.

works well. Like that it is orange and visible. The right angle is bonus.

What more can I say … it works perfectly from my Nikon D850 to my laptop so I can shoot teetered. The cable is plenty long enough and sturdy enough for use in my studio environment.

If you like tethering your shots then def invest in this cable … It’s build quality is great . I have not gotten a chance to use it yet because Lightroom 6 has a bug that won’t pickup my Nikon d810 … Which I’m very angry about …

I had already used this product before, so I didn’t need to do research on it prior to ordering. It arrived quickly and has performed perfectly since I took it out of the box. It’s the perfect length to let me be tethered to my MacBook while my assistant edits the photos on the spot. I am always paranoid about the Micro-B end coming out of the camera – it feels a bit loose – but it never disconnected during my 2 hour photo booth.

I use it to Tether in the studio. I don’t want to wait to get home to find out I don’t have sharp images.

The cable worked without interruptions for hours until the battery ran out in the camera. It was difficult at first to connect and then to reconnect, the camera and the MacBook Pro, but I attribute that difficulty to EOS Utility being difficult about the order of connection and turning on of the devices. Not clear instructions on that from EOS Utility.

Contrary to the TetherTools website, this cable will go UP if you plug it into a Pentax 645Z. Apparently all other cameras with this connector have it facing the opposite direction, so that the cable will indeed hang down. But the Pentax seems to have reversed this. Otherwise it’s probably a great cable for tethering!
