This is just what I needed. The connection from my D5 to my computer is reliable and fast. The length is good for close to computer transfers as well as positioning the computer further away during studio work.
Reyes Kunde (verified owner) –
The length, color and connect are what make the cable great.

Tether Tools makes durable cables that withstand daily abuse and this one is no exception.

I had to shave down the head a bit to fit Nikon tether lock clip, drops connection once in a while due to semi-loose connection. But good overall – I like the thickness to the cord and the L-shape. I wish Tether tools made longer cables.

great product

The product works as expected.

I use this with my MacBook Pro 15 and Nikon D810 on Capture One software. Just plug and shoot…great to finally be shooting tethered in the studio!
Bridie Towne (verified owner) –
Quality cord, though they dont last forever, of course. I choose them all over again though. 😉
Bryon Howell (verified owner) –
since the cables I had for the 2 previous bodies of the same brand did not fit, I order the tetherpro and it works fine
Jadyn Hegmann (verified owner) –
Works great but feel the price is high for 15′. that is why it only got 3 stars.
Helga Pfannerstill (verified owner) –
Great work very well
Icie Kunde (verified owner) –
I use this to tether my 7D MK II to my computer
Kathleen Reichel (verified owner) –
Using this cord with the tether block is the best solution I’ve found for a solid usb connection to the camera while shooting tethered.
Katharina Trantow (verified owner) –
Solid and very well built. Love it.
Louvenia Hansen (verified owner) –
Nothing to compare to but it works well and is robust
Delphine Stehr (verified owner) –
Connects my D 800 to my computer, so i can see my photos full screen .

I had already used this product before, so I didn’t need to do research on it prior to ordering. It arrived quickly and has performed perfectly since I took it out of the box. It’s the perfect length to let me be tethered to my MacBook while my assistant edits the photos on the spot. I am always paranoid about the Micro-B end coming out of the camera – it feels a bit loose – but it never disconnected during my 2 hour photo booth.
Triston Brakus (verified owner) –
The cable itself might be a good thing. But it is so annoying when it doesn’t stay connected to the camera! I’m shooting tethered, and about every 3 to 5 minutes it gets out of my camera, causing me extreme frustration.
Kamille Corkery (verified owner) –
Cost a little bit more, but last WAY longer than anything else we’ve tried. We also love the bright orange in the studio.

I damaged the USB port of my previous camera. I didn’t want that to happen again so I decided to give this a try. The right angle puts less pressure on the port and also it makes it easier to use it with the tether lock, which is a very sturdy protection that grabs your cable underneath the camera on the plate.
