For this product, overall I think it is a good item to have in your kit. The cable is durable and gives you enough length to get the job done. It works great on location allowing you to be more mobile and free while tethering.

with the Mark IV i’m glad this cable has the right angle option. Looks like it can work with the cable holder that comes with the Mark IV

Bought 2 of these to replace the bulb on the profoto, one blew the second I put it on. the other is holding out alright. You get what you pay for. Better to spend a bit more on a better brand.

Great support for tethered shooting, come absolutely handy with great visibility and flexibility, loved having it.

This product works precisely as described and for tethering in the studio or photo shooting environment. I like the orange color as it visually cues to location and placement and helps to prevent tripping over cable. I recommend this product highly for safety and convenience.

This cable worked seamlessly, not a single time was there a communication problem from the camera to the camera. The Photo Event was a great success largely in part because of the quality of the interface cable.

As usual a great quality cable by tether tools

I love this cable. High quality, very durable, love the use. Very well built cable. I would recommend going as long as possible. If you need to shorten get some velcro straps and gather the extra. You will get to some point where you need the cable to be an extra foot, three, or even five more feet. Worth the extra amount of money and will save the frustration later.

Actually would give it 3.5 stars if I could. Cable works as it should and feels nicely made BUT the USB connector on the computer side is much looser than I would like to be honest. With a USB drive or cable for external drive, the USB cable fits snug. This one is very wobbly and just feels like it will easily fall out – even if you have the lock to stop it from being yanked out.

It is long enough to be useful but too long to get tangled – shooting tethered is great for feedback and validation

Perfect entry level monitor for professional retouchers. About as good as it gets for 24 under $1000 that isn’t Eizo

So far I’ve have nothing but issues with this cable. After trying to use it with Reikan Focal, I was getting error after error after error. I thought it was either Focal or the camera. I contact Reikan with the error message details and it pointed to a USB connectivity issue. Sure enough, I tried two other USB 3.0 cables and Focal worked without a single error. I even tried hooking up one of these cheepier USB 3.0 cables with an old USB 2.0 extender I’ve had laying around for ten years worked perfectly (i.e., length wasn’t the issue either). Getting a replacement cable, but don’t have high hopes.

It’s a cable. It works. In my experience, tether tools cables last a long time, and based on the build quality, I’d expect the same from this one.

I recently purchased the Nikon D810 which requires the a USB 3.0 cable for connection for tethering. I shoot mostly in studio and at times, on location, require the use of my laptop. Shooting tethered allows the clients to view the images in real time and on a large screen (vice on the 3:2 camera screen. This cable allows me to accomplish my assignments and capitalize on the momentum of the session.
