Being a cable there isn’t much to say other than it’s fast, it’s long, and it’s reliable. I primarily use this to shoot product, a situation in which I nearly always shoot tethered. Shooting solo the lag doesn’t necessarily bother me. Working with a crew that lag can be crippling; the art director has to wait for the image, they have to relay their changes to the stylists, and any lag that takes place after the picture is taken is only amplified further downline. Long story short, if you shoot solo this cable is more of a luxury than a necessity. With others on set, though, it will make a world of difference. Pro: Blazing fast data transfer. Con: Isn’t compatible with the jerk-stoppers that are becoming more commonplace among newer cameras. (Shooting on the 1DX II, I can say that it absolutely isn’t compatible. That said, simple fix would be to get the cheaper, non-angled cable).

Heavy duty, works like it should.

The right angle plug is really helpful, but it doesn’t stay connected all that well. I’ve purchased some other tether tools to help with that problem.

I’m using this product with my Nikon D800 camera and macbookair during my mostly outdoor portrait shots. This is very useful because it’s long enough and due to its color it can be easy to notice by others. So people can pay attention easily.

What more can I say … it works perfectly from my Nikon D850 to my laptop so I can shoot teetered. The cable is plenty long enough and sturdy enough for use in my studio environment.

The product works as expected.

Quality. Great quality.

If only the channel weren’t so totally flooded with cut-corners landfill-ready junk, but sadly it is, so even if cable IS pricier, at least it’s solidly made and actually works. This almost doubled the speed of my external SSD SATA to USB 3.0. Went from -125M to -225M. That’s not true USB 3.0 speed (and for that I blame my hardware not this cable) it’s a huge leap over the typical junk “USB 3.0” cables I was using. Thank heaven there are still quality manufacturers in existence. Thanks again B&H!

Bought 2 of these to replace the bulb on the profoto, one blew the second I put it on. the other is holding out alright. You get what you pay for. Better to spend a bit more on a better brand.

Very durable and visible which helps in a studio environment. Much longer than the cables now shipped with new cameras. Pairs perfectly with the Jerk Stopper.

I purchased the TetherPro cable for my Nikon 850. The port was very secure but I also purchased the safety cord just in case. Both worked great. A full day of tethered shooting and I only lost connection once. I would recommend this product.

The cable is a 5 star cable but I gave it 4 stars because I thought it was somewhat pricey…

Works great. No problems.

We are a busy commercial studio and have 10-20 cameras tethered and connected every day, Canon, Nikon, PhaseOne and Sony. The TetherTools cables have been far and away the most reliable, toughest, longest lasting we’ve dealt with, including those boxed with the cameras by the manufacturers. And we love the high visibility orange. On location and in the studio, they are easy to see, and thereby not trip over.

The cable itself might be a good thing. But it is so annoying when it doesn’t stay connected to the camera! I’m shooting tethered, and about every 3 to 5 minutes it gets out of my camera, causing me extreme frustration.

stick it in on one side and stick it in the other and you have the perfect cable!
