very good quality and termination, I use it for a desktop LaCie and allows me to have it away from the desktop.

I’ve used other cables in the past and this one our performed all. Shot for 10 hours straight without any connection problems or speed issues.

El cable llego en perfecta condiciones, llego rpido hasta Per. El soporte tcnico me ayudo mucho para que me diga exactamente que cable necesitaba.

The tether cable is great for live photo shoots. I’m a portrait photographer and use my computer as a helpful tool for myself and the model. Connecting the camera to the computer to see real time images allows the model to see exactly how to improve posing and make adjustments immediately.

Solid cable. I’ve bought other cables in the past for far less money but they constantly had connectivity problems. This one works great and I’ve never had a problem with a poor connection yet. But still, if other people can make it for a quarter of the price this still seems a little overpriced.

I have no complaints except for the price, but that can’t be a complaint while I agreed to pay it 😉

After using the cord suddenly it stopped working on my one of my IMAC it works fine with the older one but with the New Imac
Olen O’Reilly (verified owner) –
Great for tethering. Cord easy to see.
Erica Kunze (verified owner) –
Cost a little bit more, but last WAY longer than anything else we’ve tried. We also love the bright orange in the studio.
Mohammed Oberbrunner (verified owner) –
I have always loved and appreciated the robust feel and consistency of these cables. Nothing better out there…Period.
Erling Wolff (verified owner) –
I purchased this product to shoot tethered in the studio. The bright cord makes it easy to keep from tripping over and having an angled connection to the camera makes it easier to stay attached. So far it is perfect for what I need.

The teatherpro cable is a high quality cable. Although I’ve only owned it for a week the feel of the cable is that of a very well built cable.
Beau Romaguera (verified owner) –
Great cables… like the orange color when you have people in the shoot who are clutz’s in the studio Also is great whenb you want to shoot to your laptop in remote locations
Juana Simonis (verified owner) –
I like the orange. Like a hunters vest it’s easy to see in a room full of people moving about. The cord is heavy gauge and plugs in very securely.
Connie Bayer (verified owner) –
Yes, the orange colour makes one look legit but until they have fixed those loose issues / click-lock hooks on the connector, please do yourself a favour and use the manufacturer’s cable. I got myself the 5m Canon cable and my assistants been saying I’m a much calmer person since.
Alberta Bruen (verified owner) –
Created a big difference in the studio by allowing almost real-time transfer of photos taken to a big display. Great way to review work as it progresses and a fine tool in delivering creative posing to subjects. I would also recommend the jerk-stopper accessory.

I ponied up to a “proper” cable, my cheepies were crapping out at about every six months. It is a good durable cable materia. I LOVE that it is orange, so it can be seen in a darkened studio setting, so we don’t trip all over it. I LOVE that it has a right angle head, so it drops down directly from the side of my camera. HOWEVER, IT WILL NOT FIT INTO A 5Ds OR A 5D IV with the USB cable protector / saddle attached to the side of the camera, It will fit fine without. I live with the Canon USB protector as a permanent fixture on my bodies, I am a studio photographer, every image I shoot, it a tethered to a computer situation. The cord butts into the bottom screw on the saddle, preventing it from inserting into the port. So I did what had to be done, I cut the bottom screw to shorten it, and thereby cleared the way for the cable to plug in properly. BUT then the stupid thing is very very thin at the plastic part forming the right angle head, LIKE much thinner than you would expect. So when I got it to plug in, it wobbled around and kept falling out. UGG ! To remedy, I got out my photo black set tape, gave it a few wraps to thicken the head, until it fit snugly within the saddle, hanging down clearing the formerly long screw. After about an hour to figure all this out, the cable fits properly, and securely, and works perfectly fine. In the end, I would rather have a high quality cable, orange, coming out of my camera at a right angle, than the cheapie shooting out the side, TORKING THE PORT to the point of repair (2x now in 2years) , fighting gravity and constantly being tripped over. If you are a real deal photographer, you know that photogs have no problem modifying a piece of gear to get it where you need it to be. Cutting a screw, and wrapping tape around it for a fix, is hardly brain surgery. Somewhat annoying to do so, but the end result it totally worth it.

It is long enough to be useful but too long to get tangled – shooting tethered is great for feedback and validation

I was looking for a fast, reliable option for getting my images from my Nikon D-800 to my Macbook Pro for instant client review while on location. Wireless options are limited and somewhat slow. The TetherPro cable is USB3 which is compatible with the D-800 and backwards compatible to USB2 for my 2007 Macbook Pro. It’s a simple, somewhat old school set up that just works. The cable does easily fall out of the camera’s usb port so a Jerk Stopper or other cable support is needed.
