With this black, 3 ft long Tether Tools TetherPro USB Type-C Male to USB Type-C Male Cable, you can connect a camera, smartphone, or other USB Type-C device to a computer, for the purposes of transferring data. This cable supports USB 3.0 for data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/s.
If you connect a camera to a laptop and your camera is compatible with tethering, you can use this cable to help increase productivity during photo shoots. Rather than proof images on your camera’s small LCD, they are sent directly to a notebook’s larger, hi-res display. Seeing images in this way helps to review them for slight imperfections that you may have otherwise missed.
To help enhance performance, this cable is fully shielded and plated to help minimize signal interference. Please Note: this cable is designed to be used for data transfer only, and not for charging devices.

This tether is long enough that I can move the computer easily. The orange color is much easier to see!

so this is well constructed, visibly colored, nice length.. but i swear the USB standard is going to break me down psychologically. (i wonder if there is a USB tester box so i can plug in a cable and be told exactly what it’s capabilities are.) i bought this to serve as a a link to an audio interface. the particular interface uses USB B so i had to use an OWC USB4 hub. this cable would not handshake the MOTU Ultralite mk4 through this powered, capable hub. while other cables are fine with it. it was a pain, and i had to resort to balancing the MOTU mid-way from the computer to the tech booth, etc.. THAT said, the cable is happily -powering- my SSL 2+ USB interface. i THINK it will play nice with my MOTU mk5.. but who KNOWS with all the USB variations nows a days.. so this item feels well built and substantial, the cable is beefier than your average, the fit in my MacBookPro is snug, and when you find a setup that works, it’s great. on the one hand this is reasonably priced for the length. on the other, disappointed that this isn’t King Cable, and you’ll have to really test your configuration, the variables between USB A,B,C, 3.1, 4, particular hubs (no matter their price), is just a riot currently.. good luck! (but i like it when it works)

Works as described

I have the 10′ cord but needed a little more length. This fit the bill – it transmits the photos from the camera to computer with no problems

After avoiding buying expensive tether cables for years and having trouble with them all, I decided to go with the standard and it works!
