Contrary to what another reviewer said, this is excellent. I use one at the usb port and another at the Ethernet port on two of my computers. In the product description it clearly states that these products are intended for cable diameters between 3.5mm & 8.5mm.They do exactly what they were intended for.

I use my usb ports alot and loose connections happen offen with cable being pulled or caught on whatever This has worked well for me . I have had this for a short time . Long term hopefully will be the same result.

Cameras and computers connected by cables increases the odds of cables being ripped out of connection points and/or cameras and computer from being dragged off resting places. A three foot drop off of a desk may not be the best for most electronic devices. Protect cameras, computers, cables and the connections with jerkstoppers. They prevent a jerk from jerking your cable.

Doesn’t fit my chunky firewire 800 cable so well and the USB port is too close to the firewire port. I should have bought the one for ethernet port.
