This particular computer support model uses a clip-on for the Aero as an anchor point by allowing slack in the cord in order to prevent damage or dislodging. I am sorry but I simply can not recommend this product. I had it out the package for all of 5 minutes before it broke. Thin, cheap plastic. I did however still need something to protect against jerks. I therefore subsequently purchased Tether Tools Jerkstopper A Clamp (2). Much more solid and easier to use. Do yourself a favor and buy the A Clamp version.

Holds cable in place. Takes direct weight/stress off the connecting port. But because it (somewhat) loosely clips to the edge of desk/stand, it’s not going to protect against any significant jerk to the cable. This needs a screw-down securing feature to fully protect.
