It uses SafeEdge construction in the laptop compartment that doubles as storage for a hydration reservoir (sold separately). In addition, the daypack can be used for carrying a 15" MacBook Pro and a 15.6" tablet PC.

I’ve been using this backpack for about five years now, and I’ve known for a while that I’ll replace it with the same one when (if ever) it wears out. It’s by far the best backpack I’ve ever owned. This backpack has gotten me across multiple countries on its own. Tons of room to squeeze in whatever you may need, more than adequate for daily use if you’re a student or just need a little more convenient storage than a messenger type bag may provide. I also love the little hard shell compartment on the front. I can put sensitive items in there such as a phone, sunglasses, or other easily breakable objects, and feel comfortable that they will be safe. Even if you don’t need a hefty backpack, I still recommend this one. It isn’t too bulky if you don’t put too much in it, but if the need ever arises, well… 27L!
