The 22” Toro is easy to operate and makes fast work out of cutting the lawn. I wasn’t a fan of the “easy assist” feature but it really does work well when you need that extra push, gently pushing the handle bar give an instant, extra pull from the engine. Things that need improving is the collection bag which is undersized and should larger. The hand operated collection shoot lever is a great idea! And as always the water attachment clean out is a safe way to clean out the deck.

It has goods and bads. The good, the motor starts very easy and it pulls over rough terrain and hills easily. The bad, it’s heavy and hard to maneuver and its difficult to pull backwards if needed. When the drive is engaged its makes an annoying squeak.

My lot is just under 1/2 acre and is hilly. The only thing that has slowed the mower down is the 66 year old guy behind it. Fuel capacity is excellent. The mulch, bag and side discharge design is convenient and allows me to change from mulching to bagging when I encounter higher grass that would otherwise need to be raked up. AWD is great for the 30º inclines. Mowing takes the same amount of time it used to with my rider.

Great mower, almost no assembly then put fuel and oil in it and you’re off mowing.Brand new, out of the box it started on the first pull, and has started on the first pull each time.This mower mulches better than any I have ever used, the clippings really do get finely chopped so it doesn’t create the thatch problem that most mulching mowers do. All wheel drive makes it really quite effortless to use.Do yourself a favor and consider this one, I think you’ll be happy.
