Works great. only issue I found was difficulty to start the motor

Unit came fully assembled and ready to roll. The mower works well and uses only 1/2 battery charge for the entire lawn thus far. My only dissatisfaction thus far is that the mulching capability could work better – needs to mulch into smaller pieces without having to retrace the steps over the same area.

I had my last Toro push mower for 23 years and it was still running when I borrowed it to my son and decided to get a new battery powered mower. I checked out most every Battery powered mower made and decided to stay with Toro. I really liked the fact it’s the same mower as their gas models just powered by battery. I had to order it because they didn’t have the model I wanted so my grass was really long and thick when it came in. There is very little assembly just remove from the box and charge the battery. My lawn was still a little wet so I let the battery charge while I waited for the lawn to dry. I don’t always bag but since my grass was so long I used the bagger. First thing it had plenty of Power to handle the long thick and still slightly wet grass, never seemed to slow down or struggle. I did not get the self propelled model and I’m ok with that because it’s lighter than my previous mower and pushes easy. The bagger worked great some reviews complained of grass blowing out of the edges but I had no such issue. There was no grass left on my lawn and the bag is easy to attach and dump. The bag is smaller than my previous mower and I did need to dump it 5 times for a 45 minute mow job. Some brands you adjust the cutting height with just one lever on the Toro you have to do adjust each tire individually. There is a big range of adjustability and it’s very solid I did read some complaints on other brands that there was issues with their one lever adjusting. The Mower has plenty of POWER and easily can do my yard on a single charge! It seems very solid and well built and although it did cost more than the gas models I’m very happy that I went with this battery powered, it’s so quiet and starting and restarting is almost fun. I am not going to miss the gas smell, changing oil and spark plugs and filters.

runs a long time. not quite as quiet as I thought it would be but still much quieter than gas. would recommend it to anyone with small to medium lawn.

As far as electric mower goes, does a great job. I’m glad I switched from a gas mower. Don’t have to keep a can of fuel around.Really like the outer body. Kept the metal shell. (not plastic, which may crack) Thanks!

I’m really pleased with the 22 in. recycler 60-volt lithium-lon cordless battery walk behind push lawn mower. I had it about 4 weeks and use it 2 times long or short grass you will have the the power to get the job done.

Superior to the Ego in every important way.

The Toro Recycler mulched my overgrown lawn into fine cuttings that do not accumulate on the lawn surface leaving a nice appearance that does not require bagging.

The Toro lawn mower, was every thing I expected and more. The battery lasted, cutting my complete lawn. The grass was 4 inch tall. Cutting the high grass, was no problem for the mower. The mulching was great. I like the cleaning port. That was different, but great. Cleaning the under side of the mower was easy.

I had to replace my very old Toro 22” and almost bought another gas powered mower. I did some research and switched to electric!I’ve cut the lawn three times since buying it and it is a much better experience. Obviously much quieter but easier to use, clean and stow. Start up is fast since you don’t check oil or gas levels and starts right up. Cuts better than my gas mower!

This Toro mower is basically the standard 22 in. deck machine with an electric motor in place of the conventional gasoline engine. The mower came pre-assembled in the box and the only requirement was to completely charge the battery. The mower is setup to mulch from the factory. The unit includes a nice grasscatcher that can be installed to catch clippings should you chose. The mower also has a conventional side discharge chute, also an option with a plastic shroud for the chute. The battery has about 50 percent charge at arrival and needed about 90 minutes or so to fully charge on the included charger. The charger unit is a sturdy setup that has an internal fan and charging indicators on the top display. The battery is also pretty hefty with a built in carrying handle.Once charged, it’s off to the races! The battery inserts easily in the top of the battery compartment and there is nothing to do but press the, “Stert Kry” button and hold down the safety handle to start the mower. It has a sound about like a shop vac, but less loud. It feels pretty powerful.I had the mower set at 2″ and had no problem cutting St. Augustine with a length of about 4 in.. My lawn is about 6000 sq. ft.and it took about half the charge to cut using the mulching feature. When I was finished, I removed the battery and checked inside the deck. No grass clippings sticking, so there was no need to use the built in flush feature on the top of the deck. Still, it’s nice to have.Last weekend I used the Toro Recycler again and it took even less charge. Covered the same area with about 75% remaining charge, probably due to previous cut and less energy use bagging the clippings. Anyway, this thing will cut! It feels like a gas mower and performs like one. I had no problems using this and getting a nice looking cut on the lawn. It works and works well! Handle folds for easy storage in the garage. I’m looking at getting the leaf blower and string trimmer. If they are as good, they are winners, too!

Light, quiet(that’s a big thing).Good for the suburbs.Doesn’t take much room for storage, the handle folds up. Make sure to get the matching snowblower. It came with 2 batteries and a charger that is also used on the lawnmower.

Pros: Motor & battery, quiet, decent cut, vertical stow, independent highly adjustable wheel height, looks. Cons: Safety handle way too much effort for even strong hands to hold closed for very long. Junk wheels – rears are metal sleeve on unlubed metal shaft, fronts are only plastic on unlubed metal shaft. Come on Toro how about some ball bearing wheels for this $500 mower? Uneven deck height needed different wheel settings to compensate. Good thing has independent wheel height adjustments.

pretty nice…

This is a great mower, I have a large front and back yard and the grass gets a little long in areas. The mower picks up speed when it hits these areas as needed and gives a nice smooth looking cut yard. the mower is easy to clean after use also. The battery has never run out of time while mowing. I does take a little bit of time to recharge but is is a high voltage battery and needs a little more time.

Great chargeable lawn mower. Came in good packaging. Mows great and like the foldable stow feature.

Updated for 20 plus year old Toro recycler. Love the new battery system and ease of handling. Looking forward to next time I cut the lawn.

Charger stopped working after the second use. No lights and just a clicking sound when you attach the battery. Don’t was time contacting Toro because after a week goes by they’ll just tell you to take your equipment and receipt to a Toro dealer. Glad i kept my old gas mower because I’m back to that while I’m in limbo getting my charger replaced. I was hoping to get rid of the gas mower, maybe not such a good idea now. With a gas mower you at least have a chance of getting it running again if you have some mechanical skills. If this mower or the battery dies, you’re dead in the water. Keep in mind after the warranty period the charger is $80 to replace and the battery that comes with this mower is $250 to replace. Those alone would buy you a 22 inch gas mower. I did say I would recommend this product, but only if you have a backup mower.
