As a lawn maintenance professional, I expect a lot from my equipment. That’s why I use Toro. The men on my crew prefer the Personal Pace option. So 4 of the 5 walk-behinds we use are Personal Pace, but I prefer the high rear wheel FWD option. I purchased this mower for my own use at home. It was easy to assemble. After adding the engine oil and filling the tank with gas, it started on the first pull. The bagger option is great. It goes on and comes off easily and catches everything the mower blade throws into it. It does a great job of ridding my lawn of leaves. After using it several times, I am very pleased with my purchase. I look forward many trouble-free years of service. I highly recommend this mower. The price is right for this machine. Plus my veteran’s discount made the deal even sweeter.

My previous mower was a rear wheel drive. I wanted either a rear wheel or all wheel drive lawn mower for my next purchase but stock was limited to only front wheel drive. This mower had good reviews so I purchased it. I’m pleased with the purchase.The mower is light enough in weight that pushing it is easy enough should you decide to not engage the front wheel drive. Due to this light weight though, when the front wheel drive is engaged, the front of the mower tends to bounce around when pushing it, making it somewhat difficult to mow in a straight line. This is especially the case when you are using the bag to collect clippings. The added weight of the bag and clippings makes the front of the mower lift up some and since the front wheels are the drive wheels, the mower tends to drift. I am considering placing a 2 lb counter weight using Velcro on the front of the mower when using the bagger to help stabilize it.The mower cuts great! It goes through thick grass pretty easily without bogging down. When using the bag to collect clippings, the mower really packs the clippings into the bag. When mulching, the mower does a good job and does not leave a trail of clippings in its wake, except in tall patches of thick grass (that’s probably the case will all walk behind mowers.All things considered, I do not regret this purchase as all.

The Honda motor makes all the difference in the world. Started on the first pull out of the box, and runs like a dream. Seems to run at a higher RPM than the Kohler or Briggs & Stratton engines on earlier similar Toros I’ve owned, which really improves the mulching function. Burns a LOT less gasoline than my last Toro, which had a Kohler. Easy to assemble out of the box. Gas tank is much improved. Larger, and the screw lid actually goes on easily and seals well. Oil fill is also much better on the Honda. The spout is extended from the motor base so you don’t end up with the usual big mess when filling.
