Toro’s products are reliable and innovative, with GTS and personal pace features, and even a striping option. That said, let me reiterate several bullet points that other people have already mentioned.*Small gas tank. My lawn is 8300 square feet and the tank must be refilled during mowing.*Under-powered. The engine struggles to cut fescue on any setting lower than D. In fact, when performing your annual short mowing, it struggles mightily to cut on setting E. Perhaps the lower settings work better on zoysia or bluegrass.*Tears the grass blades and leaves white appearance. I sharpen my blades after every 6 or 7 hours of mowing…they are always sharp. But when cutting thick fescue, this under-powered motor tends to rip the grass rather than cut cleanly. The only way to minimize this is to mow on the higher settings. It is so deflating to have a well manicured lawn, only to end up with a white-ish cast to its appearance. For this reason alone, I am considering other mowers.*Blade belt engages slowly and noisily. I’ve owned this mower for 15 months, and since day one it takes a few seconds for the blades to engage (noisily) and to get up to speed. Finally this week, it refused to engage at all and is now in the shop.*Steel deck. I wish they offered this with an aluminum deck. This steel deck already has rust showing (not from abuse).Overall, I want to love this mower so bad with it’s awesome size for a yard that doesn’t need a riding mower, and for it’s reliable start and personal pace. But Toro needs to perfect the flaws experienced by many other owners, also.

Loving every minute of it. I had a 21 inch deck before this, mowing half an acre took me 1 hr 1/2 sometimes more depending on grass length. This cut that in half and I wasn’t tired after. The self propelled feature is tricky to get used to at first but it’s perfect.

Tampa, FL. Replaced my 11yr old 22″ craftsman self propelled mower with the electric start 30″ toro timemaster. After two times mowing I’m very pleased. My mowing time is cut way down and this self propelled personal pace is effortless to use. No problem for me backing it up our mowing around trees or turns, weed eater mops up fine where I can’t maneuver. It handles my thick long St Augustine grass without a problem. Bagging and mulching both are satisfactory and the cut is good. Electric start works fine. Seems well built, will see over time. You need a 34″ or greater door or gate to get this machine through a fence, it barely fit between my pool and fence line but it made it, only one pass needed now. I gave 4 stars only due to the cost $$$ but for me it was worthwhile. I will update if needed but so far a good machine…

Assemble the handle and charge the battery and you are good to go. A bigger fuel tank would be nice.

This lawn mower is the best mower that i have ever had. Of course me last mower, a Toro, was the best at that time. I rejected getting a battery powered lawn mower to get thid gas Toro lawn mower and i love it.

I previously reviewed this mower as underpowered, and gets bogged down in any height of grass. The other day the blades stopped spinning after 10 uses. I took the front housing off, and saw the cable that pulls the pulley to the belt, was slack. I tightened, and it works like a dream. Highly suggest checking on this.

This is my second mower of this model. I’m impressed with the speed and ease of mowing. The added electronic start is worth it

Powerful engine, cuts great at high speeds, pulls hills without an issue.

Runs and great cut
Alexandro Cole (verified owner) –
Great mower as is most of your product. The biggest issue is gas capacity.
Randal Bailey (verified owner) –
I have use this mower four times and it’s better than I imaged. What used to take hour and forty five minutes, now takes fifty minutes.

Great mower. Second one that I’ve purchased. I love that it only takes me half the time to cut my yard. The first one is still working, I just rotate between the two. The newer mower has more power.

Needs a larger gas tank! Have to refill after about 40 minutes
Danyka Quigley (verified owner) –
Mower cuts nice and is easy to operate. Only problem is the small gas tank. Have used it only 1 time and had to stop to refill the tank.
Brittany Schmidt (verified owner) –
It’s a good little mower. The electric start is great. The fuel tank is a little small and I feel the engine is not big enough to handle talker grass. You can hear and feel it bogging down at 70% on tall grass. Other than that it’s great.
