I had my Toro 21 recycler delivered to my home. Opened the carton and did a little assembly and added the supplied oil to the engine. Well written instructions made it quick and easy. I used the Toro gas from the can. Prefer it over regular gas. Starts and runs well every time. Cuts well too. Great lawnmower and will provide years of service . The key here is maintenance. If you take care of it and dont abuse it youll never be letdown.

I am very grateful for the mower’s light weight. It makes it easy to maneuver the machine around tight corners. I like the wider rear wheels, which also increases maneuverability. It seems to be fuel efficient. I use only an inch and half depth of fuel in the gas reservoir for cutting my entire yard. The pull cord is very easy to use and is close at hand. I like the color schema.I believe if the grass catcher bag were made of plastic, it would improve the easiness with which the grass could be removed and reduce the lingering odor created by the grass shavings sticking to the fabric grass catcher.

I am a professional lawn care Co. , this is the mower we’ve been begging for for years. In short, its bag receives (takes in) 3 times as much clippings as any of the other (+ -) $300 mowers out there. I am not kidding: anyone who mows a lot of grass knows that constantly emptying or re-stuffing a partial bag is a pain in the rear. This mower has solved that. And it’s the same exact price. Plus the mulching is way more thorough. AND, it has a hi-power Briggs & Stratton which is more reliable than the other (unnamed) choice of foreign engines. I purchased this mower over a month ago and it has performed great. Adjusting cut height is smooth and it starts right up on the first pull. I use the rear bag attachment and it has a nice snug fit which eliminates the blowback I tended to get from my old mower.

This lawnmower works great for just mowing grass, but if there are leaves in the yard, then the mower mostly just pushes the leaves rather than suck them up into the blades. I have to bounce the frontend of the mower to allow the leaves to be sucked into the blades. I think this is due to the “cow catcher” plastic housing that the front wheels are attached to. It’s like a void space that is inbetween the blades and the leaves in front of the mower. There doesn’t seem to be any suction in the front of the mower. Therefore, trying to turn corners is also an issue, leaves are left behind.Also, the front wheel axle spindles tend to capture leaves rather than let them pass. Leaves tend to wrap around the wheel axle spindles and either stay there or fall off later in the yard.My old mower wasn’t built like that. If I need a new mower in the future, I will look for one without the “leaf pusher” in the front.
