A good mower for people with a smaller area to mow. It’s easy to un-pack and set up, comes with the required oil, just put it in add some gas and it’s ready to go. Started after 2 pulls and a little smoke and she was ready to go. I love the reliability of this brand of mower, as long as you do the required maintenance and winterizing it starts up every time. The only down side to this model is there is no side shoot so it’s either the mulching or bag with this one. With that in mind I would not recommend it if you have a larger yard to mow if you are using the bagger. The motorized wheels makes it easier to push around. I got this at the end of my mowing season so didn’t get much use out of it, but I’ve had another Toro mower and have nothing but good things to say about it.

Toro Recycler 21 in. Briggs and Stratton Low Wheel RWD Gas Walk Behind Self-Propelled Lawn Mower with BaggerThis mower comes with a bottle of SAE 30 oil and all you need to do is add the entire bottle and unleaded fuel and you are ready to go. This is what I consider an entry level walk behind mower. There are a couple of things I really, love about this mower. No more oil changes all you need to do is check the oil and keep it full. It is very easy to push without engaging the rear wheel drive. It’s very easy to start my granddaughter and wife can start this mower. And so many walk behind mowers are very heavy and this mower even with a steel deck is light enough for anyone to maneuver in tight places like around trees and shrubs. I definitely give this mower two thumbs up.

This Toro lawn mower has truly done a service to my lawn and has definitely made yard work for my a lot more pleasant. Right out the box the mower comes almost completely assembled, I only needed to Attach the handle and grass bag and simply pour in some oil that was included for use in the box. I use 91 gas because I personally believe fuel with no ethanol is best for conserving the engine life on this bad boy. It only took one pull on this toro mower to get her engine roaring and it cleaned up my lawn surprisingly really well. I did find myself having to empty the grass bag more often than I would like to because it would sort of lose suction or force due to the grass bag being a bit high making the grass gather in the front of the bag rather than pushing itself back but other than that this mower by Toro has made my life in the yard so much easier!

THE BAG IS GOOD ALSO FOR DUMPING LEAVES. AFTER A FEW TIMES, I WILL REMOVE IT AND USE THE MULCHER. I AM USING BP 89 OCTAINE . WHEN SUTTING OFF MOWER IT WILL GIVE A PUFF SOUND. IT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A BACK FIRE. I WILL HAVE HOME DEPOT TO CHECK IT OUT FOR ME.A PREVIOUS 1990 TORO 3 SPEED DRIVE WAS USED UNTIL RECENTLY. IT TOOK A LITTLE TIME TO ADJUST TO THE VARIABLE NEW ONE.

The mower was packaged with the wrong manual and there is a problem with the grass catcher

I bought another Toro lawnmower because I have liked the ones in the past that I have used. They are reliable. I like the rear wheel drive although I am in my upper 70’s and it is a bit fast for me to use it.

The Best Gas Mower!! Our last Braggs and Stratton lasted 20 years before it finally checked out. This beautiful mower is definitely a work horse and does a great job mowing and bagging our grass. The self-propelled feature is great and really helps when we have to mow up hill. We love the new feature of just adding oil when needed so that we never again have to change the oil each season. Win-Win!! We’re Very Happy!!!

I can’t wait until next grass cutting season!!! This shiny new Toro Recycler lawn mower is 21″ wide and self propelled. It is a beauty!!! I have a walk behind power mower now. This self propelled mower is a really nice upgrade to what I have. I like the low wheel design and it is a recycler that comes with a nice sized bagger. This mower’s Briggs & Stratton engine does not need an oil change! What a bonus. Just keep oil in the engine, add some gas and that’s it!!! I’m not using it until Spring because it is past grass cutting season here in Michigan. This machine is going to make grass cutting a breeze!!! Can’t wait till Spring!!!

Easy start every time. Only issue is that mower doesn’t have a side grass discharge opening.

More is a decent value for what you get. I just got this mower and used it to mulch and pick up my leaves since its a little late in the mowing season here in the Midwest. Setting up the mower was super easy. Using the mower was even easier. The handle bar felt good in my hands and keeping the power lever safety bar down was easy. I even forgot it was there. The drive control was a little difficult. Its only one speed so you have to make sure you can keep up with the mower. I’m a little older now and my knees were not helping me so keeping up was not the best for me. When I didn’t use the bagger the bulk of the leaves kept on getting blown out towards the upper right tire area. I expected more to get mulched but it just kept shooting the majority of the debris away. When I used the bagger the debris got sent into the bag decently but not as good as my other mower. The challenging part of the whole mower was that bag. Getting it to sit correctly was a constant fight. It just didn’t want to cooperate with me. Also, the bag has a portion of it not covered. See my photo for reference. As a result, it shot debris straight up from time to time. The mower started right up with one pull every time though. The motor is SOLID QUALITY! I give it 5 stars! Overall, its a good mower. Its just not a great mower if your a serious yard head like myself. If you need a decent mower to get the job done then this is a good one. I would definitely recommend it for just that but not for serious lawn heads like myself.

Awesome power, I have a bad knee which can be difficult to cut grass, but with my new mower it’s a lot easier

The 21 Variable Speed Gas Lawn Mower works great. It’s easy to turn and easy to use. Leaves the grass super nice and super low. It’s not heavy like other mowers I’ve own in the past. Highly recommend it.

There is a sharp metal ring that the pull start is attached to that can cut your hand if you’re not paying attention. Also, with the mulching system, it blows grass all over the mower and gets it really dirty. The mower cuts the lawn really well. There are just room for these couple of areas of improvement.

Toro’s Recycler 21 inch lawn mower is so easy to use!The Briggs & Stratton powered, low wheel machine is self-powered with rear wheel drive.Install was a no-brainer; there really was not that much in terms of putting it together. The mower was boxed for easy setup; take it out of the box, attach the handle lining up the knobbed-bolts and tighten it up. Put the pull string through the holder in the handle. Put in the included quart of oil; wait 3 minutes per the instructions and fire her up!It was a single pull start – pretty amazing that! The handle has two levers; the bottom one is the on/off switch, the top lever controls the wheel drive mechanism. The cut quality is pretty good; and the included bag makes for easy clippings pick up. But keep in mind that this little wonder is best to use it bagless to chop up the clippings into fine pieces for in-place mulching. It’s a nice and light mower for easy maintenance of your lawn.Highly recommended.

For limited use. Does not have all functionality I was hoping for. Very simple mower. Good for small yard. Too slow for large yard.
