Nice light-duty self-propelled mower at a great price. Assembly out of the box was quick — basically just attach the handle, add the included quart of oil, and gas it up. Started on the second pull and on every pull after that. Self-propelled system pulls strongly (handy on the steep uphill area in our front yard), and the no oil-change approach is a relief. The handle does fold, but involves unscrewing the locking knobs; spring-loaded would be quicker and much more convenient. It’s late in the mowing season, but I gave this a trial run on our 7500-sq. ft. yard, recently overseeded and pretty dense with tall fescue (not the easiest for a mower) and a good helping of fallen leaves. Mower performed pretty well — plenty of power, bag collects well, but a bit disappointing in the mulching department. Lots of leaf and grass bits close to 2″ in size. Height adjustment was easy — two levers — and cut was smooth as expected with a new unit. Fit and finish is acceptable, a bit on the flimsy side, but all told, though, for a self-propelled unit at this very competitive price point, this comes recommended.

Leafed blow in your face while mowing.

My 10 year old Troy Built push-mower bit the dust a couple weeks ago and I decided to go with a self propelled this time. So far, it performs its functions properly. It starts well, has a good selection of cutting heights, and the self propel feature is a welcome addition. I’ve seen some negative reviews on this mower that have me puzzled. One is oil issues on the Kohler engine and the other is failure of the front wheel drive mechanism. The reason I’m puzzled is because this comes with a Briggs & Stratton engine (not Kohler) and is rear wheel drive (not front). I’m happy with the size and features of this mower and expect many years of service out of it. Despite the claim of never having to change the oil on this model, I think I’ll still do it periodically.

This Toro variable speed lawnmower make doing yardwork a breeze. It is self propelled so no more struggling for me to push a heavy mower up the hills in my yard. It also makes great work out leaves to! Totally recommend for anyone who enjoys doing their own yard!

Is hard to handle. It goes to fast. It’s hard to adjust the speed. I’m getting used to it but I will never buy one like this again.
