This mower is the best of the mowers I have used. The Honda engine is the same as my ten year old mower and still is great though the rest of my Honda mower is failing. I had a Lawn Boy with the personal pace before and really wanted to go back to that. It is very smooth on the new mower especially with the flex handle. Drives straight, cuts evenly, and pushes easy. My only problem with it is that it cost an arm and a leg. But I obviously thought it was worth it to get what I wanted. So far it has lived up to my expectations.

This is my second Toro. First one was in the mid-1960’s….a Whirlwind 21” . So glad I came back so far……Used three times so far. Love the Personal Pace. Matches my pace without my knowing it is being used. I just walk and it seamlessly adjusts. Love the versatility, excellent mulching, option to bag as well as side discharge option. Flex Handle suspension is nice too.And to get a 5 year warranty in addition…

My 16 year old Super Recycler no longer had any economy of maintenance and I quite frankly abused and misused it for many years. It was a very good and reliable mower. I borrowed a friend’s Honda to try out and found it bulky, heavy, and clubby to operate…I also was not in love wiht the self propel mechanicm. We humans get used to what we know…and the Honda felt very different to me. So I purchased the new Toro Super Recycler with the Briggs and Stratton and stow away feature. It was a fine mower in most respects, however, out of the box the engine sputtered sporadically during use…not a huge deal…but an annoyance with a brand new mower. I thought….wow….the perfect mower would be just like this one in every way but with a Honda engine. Then I see that Home Depot offers the mower (online order only) with the Honda engine. I returned the Toro with the Briggs and spent $100 extra for this one. This version with the Honda engine no longer has the stow away feature (which really is nice) but the Honda trade-off is worth the sacrifice in my opinion. This mower has enough power, an easy and functional self propel system, cuts great, is very light and agile comparatively, and has a metal deck. There is very little that I could think to change about this mower and it fits my needs perfectly.

Easy to use, pretty light compared to my previous lawn mower. The only problem I have is that it shut off once you release all the handles. If there something in my way like a tree branch, I usually leave the engine running and move the branch. But you can’t do it with this model.
