The Toro Super Recycler was very easy to get going once out of the box, ADD oil and gas and minor assembly of the discharge bag and you’re ready to cut grass. It does a great job on mulching and the personal pace works great. The only thing missing is blade stop but I didn’t think it was worth another $100 to step up to the next model. And lastly the Honda engine, it’s everything you want in an engine and SO easy to start.

I purchased this new super recycler with a Honda engine to replace a 15 year old Toro super recycler mower that I gave to a friend (it’s still ran but had issues). I was in love with the new mower! The Honda engine runs incredibly well. It has lots of power is very quiet and sips gas. I used the mower without any issues for two years and was faithful about checking and replacing the engine oil. On my last oil change I decided to switch to Toro synthetic oil 10-30 & That’s when I had a problem. The engine sounded very strange on start up & shut down… And I began to fear that I had a bad bearing. I double checked that I do use the correct Oil & triple checked that the oil level was perfect. I brought the mower back to my dealer here on Cape Cod and they were not very optimistic that I would get a replacement engine. They called Honda and they wouldn’t cover the motor… But then they called Toro and they stood behind their product and I’m getting my machine back with a new engine. I couldn’t be more pleased. I’m a big Toro fan I know not had any issues with anything that I purchased from the company. I personally have owned Three Toro snowblower’s over the years, two time master mowers and three super recyclers. Thank you Toro for making great products and most importantly standing behind your product when there’s an issue.

The Toro Super Recycler is a very good mower with a lot of features; I have had it for about one month. I replaced a 1976 Snapper 5 HP commercial push mower that just wouldn’t die, until now. The Toro is lighter and seems to cut better than the Snapper, but it does not have the suction that I found useful with my old mower. However, the types of debris that I sucked up with my old mower (edging trimmings, large sticks, mushrooms, etc.) should probably be removed by hand anyway! The Toro was easy to assemble and came with everything needed to do so. It starts easily and maintains power throughout my mow. I am still getting used to holding the engine cutoff bar and using a mower with the self-propelled feature but overall, the mower works well. This mower is about a foot longer than my old one so I am working out how to maneuver it in tight areas, but to be honest, I’m probably just being stubborn about my mowing patterns! Another thing to note is that this mower does not have a speed control, that is to say that the engine RPM is fixed, although you can change that at the carburetor if desired. I am used to being able to raise and lower the engine speed with a lever depending on the application, but as I said before, the mower works well in all situations. I am giving this mower four stars and not five due to the suction not being at a level to which I am accustomed. Four and a half stars is probably a more fair rating. All things considered, I would buy this mower again and recommend it to others.

I have used Toro Super Recyclers for 15 years. The previous engines have had Briggs + Stratton motors (which have done a wonderful job over the years). This Honda engine is surprisingly louder, but seems to have more torque than the 6.0 and 6.5 horsepower Briggs motors. In the three times I’ve used it, it has proven to start reliably, is nimble, and is excellent at mulching. It moves as fast as you can walk, and makes the job really, really easy. This will be a knee-saver.

What’s not to like. A Toro mower with a Honda motor. Starts on first pull, smooth even cut with excellent mulching, lightweight but with a lot of power. My previous mower was one of the infamous Honda’s that only cut about half of the 21″ it was supposed to cut. Loved the mower but not the mower. The Toro is so much better. Wish I had it years ago.

Awesome mower. Lighter than I thought but very sturdy and Dan handle picking up matted down fall leaves and clean cut your lawn. I have both at Augustine and tall fescue. Cuts and mulches both very cleanly. Love the personal pace. Came from from an electric mower, and it’s definitely night and day cutting.

I gotta say this mower is fantastic it started right up after I followed the directions with the oil and gas treatment right out of the box and then mowed my lawn and it did a great job it was so easy to use and quiet, after mowing for about 2 and a half hours I wasn’t even tired or sore from using the mower that long it goes with u and stops with u at ur pace I absolutely love this mower and would highly recommend it to anyone and it glides over terrian with ease as it leaves a perfect cut.
