Was very concerned about the engine sputtering comments in other reviews. Growing up around small engines, I knew the sputtering concerns would drive me crazy if experienced.I followed many review threads in an attempt to identify the “sputtering” concern. Many in the threads looked at individual components in an attempt to solve the concern, i e ingnition, spark plug etc. i noticed my neighbor next door had the same mower I was considering buying, just a year or two older. Asked my neighbor if he had any issues with his toro, he said yes it quit running last summer and had to go to the shop. The mechanic went through the mower, cleaned up some things and charged him $50 for his time. NO components were replaced, just cleaned. The mechanic advised him to use Trufuel only (also sold at HD). Since then, no problems at all and he’s very happy with his Toro. So there it is, crapy fuel is the culprit with the “sputtering” yissue. After hearing that, marched right to HD and bought this Toro and a case of Trufuel. I’ve had it about two months and am super happy with it. Easy to start, runs clean and can chug thru 10″ high thick grass without stalling! Super light weight aluminum deck makes it easy to handle. The manual references pump gas as being ok, even 93 octane. DO NOT USE PUMP GAS, like you put in your car! Run Trufuel only and this mower will perform! This is a well thoughtout piece of equipment that has exceeded my expectations.

Mover is easy to operate, and navigates wet and slightly overgrown grass without issue. The storage feature is a plus since we keep our mower in the garage. So far its the best push mower we have owned.

not a big fan of the personal speed feature. We have a slight hill on our lot and the mover needs more power to self propel up the slope. The personal speed feature slows the mower down, delivering less power and I have to push the mower a bit.

This mower hands down has the best cut out of all others I have owned. The shocks on the handles and the super quite Briggs make is easy on your arms and elbows after mowing. Now that I have started using the fold up feature to get the mower out of the way in the garage, it will be hard to use any other one that doesn’t have this.

Handling is so easy for a relatively heavy mower…heavy because it is so well built! The mower arrived in perfect condition. The mower was completely assembled and took a few minutes to adjusted the handle and cutting height, add oil, gas and check spark plug boot to make sure it was on tight. The mower started on the first pull. I walked behind it on the driveway and the Personal Pace worked great. I have done this several times and every thing works very well. I have not mowed yet because of the weather and will up after mowing. The looks and feels very good.

This is an amazing mower. The only reason I couldn’t give it a 5-star rating is because the trailing shield tore after using it two times. The store I purchased it from gave us a replacement one off of the display model. I’m hoping this was a fluke. It’s easy to start, it’s easy to push, I love the SmartStow feature. It allows you to easily clean the underside of the mower after using.

Starts easily and cuts well. Good mulching too, even in grass that’s gotten too long. We really like the vertical storage too. The forward speed control takes some getting used to, seemed awkward at first but just took a few cuts to get accustomed to it.
