I mowed with this mower three times. I bought it for the mulching feature. that works great but if your grass is just a little too high, the mower will leave a trail of grass on the left side of the mower, so you have to blow or rake the yard when you are done. The other thing I did not like was when the mower sets on the concrete floor of my garage, not all 4 wheels touch the ground, even when the wheel heights are set the same. That’s just bad quality control. When you want to change the blade or clean the underside of the mower, the instructions never mention that you can’t do it the old way or the oil will leak into your exhaust. Terrible instructions.

I have used this machine three times now for cutting our .4 acre lot and I absolutely love it! With all the rain this fall and the morning dew that never dries I would have had to pay someone to cut the grass as our other mower (husqvarna) couldn’t handle any amount of moisture in the grass. So far this mower is meeting all expectations and fulfilling all promises. It is lighter than other mowers making our hilly terrain easier to cut than with any other mower I have used. It is also proving easy to start so far. Highly recommend this mower.

was very pleased with the appearance and storage. Was a little disappointed with a few blades of grass that were not cut.

More than a decade ago purchased a similar Toro that has exceeded all expectations. Large corner lot with hundreds of hours of trouble free service. At age 81 elected to buy a new one to carry me through another decade or more. The new one inspires me to go mow. The old Toro will be used for the “dirty” jobs such as the annual scalping of the yard. Love the new one.

I had a lawn boy for 15 years. I was undecided lawn boy and toro. I took a chance and purchased the Toro. I am so happy I did. The engine is quite and the machine is so easy to maneuver. I love the folding handle and the way you css as n stand it up. The recycler cuts the grass so fine.

Unboxing, set-up, and first cut was good. The main complaint I have is when you mow a section forward and then pull the mower backwards to start an unmowed strip the mower is very hard to move almost like the drive wheels have a brake applied (they do roll and are not frozen) It will do this about 60 % of the time.I always make sure the self propel handle is all the way back and more than half the time it just feels to me that the rear drive is not always releasing. The other quirck is the forward motion on occasion will jerk forward with just a gentle application of movement of the self propel handle.Once again it does no do it all the time maybe 20% of the time. This is the main reason for a 3 star rating…Your thoughts??????..

Starts on first pull, but once the bagger starts to fill it lifts up in the front.

This is a well designed mower at a reasonable price. Started on first pull. Feels solid, the aluminum deck is stiffer and lighter. This makes it much easier to navigate about than my earlier steel deck model. It feels light and strong at the same time. I was able to use my older model bag on it as a benefit as well. It has a larger gas tank and seems to use less gas when mowing than my earlier model. The chute system is great and it also does a great job mulching. Seems to have more airflow/vacuum power than my earlier personal pace which provides improved bagging of leaves and grass.

I currently have a Honda HRX 217 and started having a problem with the rear wheels locking up and took it in for repair and was told every thing was OK. After much research I purchased the Toro Super Recycler. The mower arrived in perfect condition. I adjusted the handle and cutting height, added gas and oil and checked the spark plug boot to make sure it was on tight. The mower started on the first pull. Walked behind it on the driveway and the Personal Pace was great. I have done this several times. I have not been able to mow because of the weather and will up date later. The mower looks and feels very good.

Wonderful mower. Great suction for leaves and detritus on the lawn. The grass seems “happy” after it has been cut. Love the Smart Stow!

I bought this mower beause of it aluminum deck ,wheel and axal construction.I like the personal pace feature .The only problem i have is the flap at the rear of the mower came apart. Attached is a phot of that part.

It wouldn’t start so I had to return it. It was probably just unlucky and I wouldn’t judge the overall performance of this model by the anomaly.

Only used twice so far but seems to work great. Wonder if l’ll get 20 years out of this Toro like the last one?

An excellent machine. First one I bought, my son inherited. We’ve had it for years. I gave him the new one for his birthday and he sold the older one which is still running. Great machine. There’s no other machine that comes anywhere near close to Toro. And that Self pace feature is absolutely genius. Thanks for such great machine.

The perfect lawnmower for my St Augustine lawn!

I like the mower although it frequently has a hesitation that seems to be related to the carburetor

I’ve used this mower 2 times. So far it has worked great. The self propelled mower is nice to have helps going up hills. You can adjust how fast it moves by pushingin the bar. You push it all the way down you better be ready to jog to keep up with it. I like the neat feature where you can hook up garden hose to deck to clean up the underside and blades.

Read the reviews and saw several complaints but still decided on the Toro Super Recycler. Had a Toro Recycler for 13 years and deck finally rusted and holes formed. Decided the aluminum deck was the way to go. The Recycler left cut grass that was visible. This Super Recycler cuts so fine no need to bag clippings. The folded storage is great saving space and for washing the underside of the deck making cleanup a breeze. Haven’t tried the hose connection yet because it is so easy to stand it up and hose off the bottom. Mower overall seems as well built as the Recycler that I replaced. Starts first or second pull every time. Have not experienced any issues at all (just over a month of use).
