I have had this trimmer for over a year and it has had very heavy use and it just keeps running. It has been borrowed many times and it always gets rave reviews from users. Right now I’m using it to remove ground ivy which is a terrible job but it hasn’t failed yet. I just shove it into the bottom of the ivy growth, turn it on and force it up through the ivy growth and it comes out with a clean swath cut. I have been doing this for over a week and it just keeps cutting even through ivy surface roots.

Like one other person commented, the trigger lock is difficult to keep in place, BUT, if I loose footing or it gets away from me, it will quickly turn off. However, it could still be improved. Other than that it is a good machine.
