Description
Toro’s highest performing blower vac. Everything the Ultra has, plus added time-saving and leaf shredding performance. Includes the patented Shredz-All Shred Ring that works with the metal impeller to reduce up to 97% of mulched debris to less than 1/2 in. An oscillating nozzle kit is also included. This kit automatically sweeps the air back and forth making a wider blowing path on hardscapes without moving the wrist. Includes: main blower tube for dry leaves; power insert for wet, heavy leaves; concentrator use in corners and crevices; cord storage hook store the cord by wrapping it around storage hook; bottom-zip vacuum bag (may be used for easy storage of all blower/vac components). Debris reduction varies with material type and its condition.

THIS IS A NICE BLOWER/MULCHER. I WANTED A MULCHER FOR THE DREADED LEAVES ALL OVER THE YARD. I HAD RAKED UP THE LEAVES AND PILED THEM UP THINKING THIS WOULD SPEED UP THE PROCESS, BUT THIS MULCHER IS NOT A VERY FAST “PICKER UPPER”. HONESTLY I COULD HAVE PICKED UP THE PILES FASTER THAN THE PILES WERE MULCHED; THE ADVANTAGE THOUGH WAS I AVOIDED ALL THE BENDING I WOULD HAVE HAD TO GO THROUGH FOR THAT TO HAPPEN. KEEP THE BIN WHERE YOU’RE PLANNING TO DUMP THE MULCH NEARBY BECAUSE ALTHOUGH IT DOES HOLD A LOT MATERIAL, YOU WILL BE MAKING QUITE A FEW TRIPS TO THE WASTE BIN. I THINK THAT AS A BLOWER IT WILL WORK WELL, AND AS A MULCHER IT WILL BE BEST USED FOR LIGHT JOBS, MAYBE PICKING UP AROUND A GARDEN, OR LEAVES THAT HAVE FRESHLY FALLEN AND ARE LOOSE ON THE GROUND. ALSO BE PREPARED TO GET DIRTY/DUSTY, AS THE MULCHER SUCKS IN DEBRIS AND BREAKS IT UP IT DOES CREATE A LOT OF DUST WHICH IS NOT ALL CONTAINED IN THE BAG. SO AT THE END OF THE DAY, YOU WILL BE WELL DUSTED AND READY FOR THE SHOWER,

This is the third Toro blower of this type I have had in a few years. I found it works very well but after a very few years it quits and appears to be the switch which you can’t buy, so you need to plan to buy another one after a while.

I bought this for a specific nearly impossible job. I have a fence, with 8 hedge plants, each over one story tall. Underneath the bottom of the hedge is enough space for my dogs to go up to the fence and visit the neighbors dogs. The leaf’s and twigs and debris gather under their also, and the main tree, what ever it is, drops razor sharp leaves that cut through my best leather gloves like butter and cut the dogs paws. Even worse, we live in a concentration of water moccasins that love to coil beneath the trees and around the trunks there. I know, it’s a lot of information. But I had to paint the picture here. I had to crawl under there risking my life with leather gloves, ruining two pairs at a time and getting cut the whole way to get this stuff out by hand. Having gotten too old for it, I got this wonderful leaf vacuum, It worked like nothing else could, and made a half day job into a half an hour. It is industrial by nature and should be used accordingly, going after the job with it. When used properly, this is invaluable.

The blower/vacuum works great. Blades are metal which is a plus. However one side of strap on bag ripped off on the 3rd use and there is already a small whole in bag so dust flies out. So 5 stars for the machine and 2 stars for the bag.

I wore my first Vac/Blower after 5 years of very heavy use, sadly TORO will NOT invest in a bad with a large zipper or patches on the bag corners. The Zipper needs to be larger and heavier, and the 2 bottom corners should be reinforced, make these very simple changes and this Blower/Vac gets a solid 5 every time. The small extra cost to make these changes would be well worth it….. PLEASE TORO listen to your customers!!!

Does the job very well and is not very noisy. Mulcher is the best feature. Worry a bit about hard plastic breaking when changing functions. Being very careful. Do not use extra blower features.

Very easy to use, and simple to switch from blower to vacuum and back. I wish that I had bought a longer extension cord, I wanted to keep going. The “sweeper” tip worked wonderfully for getting all the leaves out of the grass.It can “dust” some leaves. The elm leaves in the back yard turned to a green powder.

Works really well and this model comes with all the attachments needed. Has a powerful and variable speed blower / vacuum plus a metal impeller so should last a long time. I was a little cautious from reviews regarding variable speed switch failing and apparently not a replaceable item, but bought a heavy duty 14/2 Gauge x 100ft cable per recommendation to keep the switch from overheating, if only using a 50ft cable a standard duty would likely be fine
