I bought this trimmer to do multiple jobs around my property. From trimming the grass that runs along the fence line to tackling the tall weeds that grow by our pond, this trimmer can tackle them all! The battery provides MORE than enough run time and the adjustable cut width is a game changer. I just tried this trimmer out on my backyard, where I’ve allowed the grass to grow to meadow height. The battery life lasted a solid half hour at least, and the trimmer was powerful enough to cut through meadow-height grasses of varying types all the way down to an inch from the ground, covering far more area in one shot than I was able to with my 18V Ryobi trimmer in several attempts. I would definitely recommend this product for its strength, quality, and length of use. Also, the product was easy to assemble.

I purchased this on HD’s website, tried it out a few times, then returned it. It just wasn’t much more powerful than a Black & Decker 20V model that I’ve had for a few years (and which cost half as much). The Toro was not a bad device but the power/performance did not impress at this price point. Aside: I don’t know if there are overriding liability concerns involved or what, but I’m convinced that many manufacturers significantly limit the potential of their cordless trimmers; lithium-ion batteries can pack a BIG punch, especially for their weight/size, but the stuff I’ve demo’d doesn’t outperform the old lead acid technology by much. Disappointing.

The 60V Toro is great. I have a acre of land and lot to keep up with and my new Toro is up to the job. The string feeder design works great, I don’t miss mixing the gas, and the 60 V battery has plenty of power. I really like is how quiet it is. I can get to work as early in the morning as I want and plug my ear buds in and listen to my music and the not bother my neighbors . My 12 yr old Gas Toro wacker is still working and I hope my new cordless last ad long.
