If you want a beast of a hedge trimmer then this is for you with a 60 volt battery you have plenty of power. I have some evergreens that needed trimming badly..This did a great job on them. Can’t wait for summer to do some serious trimming on some areas of the lawn. Like the fact that it has a guard to install over the cutting blades on it. Charging time is pretty good.

Outstanding – The Toro Flex-Force cordless hedge trimmer is one powerful tool! When they say it has 3/4 inch cutting capacity they mean it. Fortunately there are some really well thought out safety features that make sure accidents are less likely to happen – like you have to have both hands on the tool in the right place for it to operate. I also found the hedge trimmer to be well balanced with the battery in place. We took on a large landscaping project last year and expect to have plenty of trimming to do as the season progresses. Just to put the Toro hedge trimmer through is paces, I went through a wild blueberry thicket with no issues. and then onto some white pine saplings. These things grow like weeds around here and they are a lot of work to keep after. The Toro cut through them like nobody’s business. I really like the way the head rotates on the handle so you can trim both vertically and horizontally without twisting into awkward positions. I already have some of the other Flex-Force tools and have bee very pleased with them as well and will be purchasing more as existing tools come up for replacement. The Flex-Force is a really good tool system and its a huge plus that the batteries are interchangeable from tool to tool.

I’ve always liked the Toro mowers – had two gas models, and was delighted to buy about their cordless one. Of course one of the best features of this line is that all tools use the same 60V battery, so I upgraded my collection to include the hedge trimmer and the string trimmer. The hedge trimmer turned out to be a favorite of both my wife and I – there is no set up, the battery lasts forever – we had a whole bunch of large bushes that we had neglected due to the annoyance of using the corded tool. Now that we tried it, we are going to use it on a regular basis, and keep everything looking great all year. The easy turning mechanism is brilliant as it makes it easier to reach deep on the lower parts and sides of the bushes. The weight is very reasonable and is well balanced.Obviously – zero maintenance – net use of the tool makes it a great one to own!

I bought this tool a few weeks ago and use it around the house. It is easy enough to use and does a great job cutting branches up to 3/4″ in diameter (it does take more time). Makes quick work of normal growth on bushes. The tool doesn’t feel too heavy and is pretty easy to maneuver around when trimming. I rated it 4 stars because of how the switches for turning on the tool work. There are two switches on either side of the handle where you squeeze the trigger that have to be pushed along with the switch on the grab bar. If there was a way to lock the trigger switch down so all the user had to do was activate and deactivate the switch on the grab bar, it wouldn’t be so awkward. Over time I will probably get used to it. There is a blue button on top to rotate the handle for easier cutting angles (this is one feature I chose this model and brand over some others for).Battery life seems great so far. I am able to finish my whole job on half a battery (around 45 min of cutting)Overall a great trimmer and I would recommend it!

This trimmer is everything you could ask for. Gave it to my son for Christmas. I ended up borrowing it to trim my hedge. It was great. The battery life is excellent and it did the job. I was very pleased. I recommend this trimmer for jobs around your home landscape. It advertises that the battery will last enough to trim 2 ft. wide by 300 yards. I believe it. It’s a bit heavier than I thought, but it wasn’t an issue.

Powerful trimmer, easily handled up to 1/2″ thick arborvitae branch trimming along 75 ft with plenty of charge left. Already have Toro’s cordless blower, which works great. Added bonus now having a second charger and battery that comes with the trimmer–keeps me working while one’s in the charger. This is a serious, well made tool with excellent balance and some weight, but I find it very easy to handle. If I only had 10 feet of thin hedge, I probably would have replaced my 25 yr old plug-in B&D with something lighter–but this is clearly a step-up in power and performance. Well worth it!!

At first I was a bit worried that with such a large battery, this hedge trimmer would be too heavy to maneuver easily. Wrong, it is very easy to hold and use for long period of time without fatigue to my arms. The battery is suppose to last up to 75 minutes, but with such sharpe blades I’ve been able to trim bushes much faster than with my old hedge trimmer. You can’t go wrong with Toro products, I’m very please with this line.
