Very impressed with this adapter. I had a Netgear wifi adapter previously that worked sporadically and then just failed. I got this one and the connection is strong! I love it.

I was recommended this product by a highly skilled tech friend of mine, to go completely wireless in my home. The product came quick, hooked up to my system effortlessly, we have screaming, wireless internet in the whole house and surrounding area. Thank you

I bought this adapter because the onboard wireless adapter in my laptop was limited to the 2.4 GHz band and I was hoping to increase download speed by switching to the 5 GHz band. The adapter was immediately recognized by Win 10, so setup was a breeze. But when both signal strength and internet speed were significantly lower on both bands than with the onboard 2.4 GHz adapter. On the 2.4 GHz band, signal strength dropped from -53 dB (excellent) to -68 (OK, but not great), and speed dropped from 50 MBps to 25 MBps. Worse yet, strength on the 5 GHz band was -73 (marginal at best) and speed was 10-15 MBps. It’s a good thing the price was low. I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with the adapter and suspect that, in other situations (perhaps not so far from the router), it might work better, but it sure didn’t help me.

My aged laptop had recently developed some network issues and needed a new WiFi link. I Purchased this as an add on and it works like a charm.

This replaced another adapter which often did not connect in an area with poor WIFI. This one easily connected.
