Give your home extensive, reliable, and fast Wi-Fi coverage with the Deco S4 AC1200 Whole Home Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from TP-Link. This dual-band 802.11ac mesh Wi-fi system includes three modules, each of which can function as a router or satellite to deliver up to 300 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz frequency band and 867 Mb/s on the 5 GHz band. Deco S4 modules can also be configured as access points for wired networks to add wireless connectivity. Covering up to 5500 square feet, this mesh system helps to eliminate Wi-Fi dead spots, delivering fast connections to up 100 devices for fast video streaming, internet browsing, and playing online games. If you need to increase your coverage area, all you have to do is add another Deco module. The system is compatible with all Deco models and the wireless network will operate using a single name and password. Your devices will automatically switch to the Deco with the strongest connection as you move throughout your home.
Each TP-Link Deco S4 module includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports that automatically sense whether they’re connected to a WAN modem or LAN devices such as game consoles, smart TVs, and computers. You can set up and manage your wireless network through the Deco mobile app. The Deco system can also be paired with Amazon Alexa devices for convenient voice control.

I already had a few of these S4 units and am happy with them. This three pack arrived very quickly and in excellent condition. They all work exactly as expected.

Easy to setup as advertised. Usually when they sell it as easy it is not easy. This product is an exception. I had the first unit setup in 20 minutes. The second and third were setup in an additional 20 minutes. I usually take twice the recommended time to do anything techy. Some strategic placement of the units created good coverage throughout my home, which includes some stone walls, cement block walls, and three floors. This product replaced a 2012 wifi router which I did not realize was hampering my internet speed in many ways. The phone app makes it easy to do troubleshooting and setup advanced settings.

We have a long house and had spots with very weak signal. This solved the problem completely. Even covers the yard for less than I paid for the expensive router it replaced.

I saw a segment about these on Ask This Old House, and decided to give it a try. It was very easy to install and greatly improved WiFi signal strength and reliability in the far corners of the basement (where I do most of my from home work)

Not being tech minded I read a few reviews & plumped for this one. It was $149-95 on B&Hs website, but actually $20.00 less in the actual store when I went to buy it. I also bought an extra pod for $49-95 so had 4 in total as I was worried that 3 wouldn’t have a strong enough reach to my garage from my house which is about 35/40 feet away. Set up took around 40 minutes or so & apart from some minor glitches pretty easy to install. The signal in the garage which doubles as a workshop with TV, Printer & Laptop all work perfectly & the signal/reception in the house is near perfect.

I’m fairly tech savvy and have set up numerous networks. Once I received the item, I unboxed them and started looking for the QR code to download the app. There is a postcard size piece of paper about the warranty and on it was the QR code. After I went there I realized it was only to a troubleshooting page from TP-Link. After doing some digging online, I found the correct app to download and finally got to work. The steps are pretty easy, but I did have to call my ISP to get some network info. Once I finally got them connected they are working well, but it took awhile to get to this point. Definitely need better instructions/packaging as the correct QR code comes on the OE box and these did not come in an OE box.
