The 512GB SSD370S SATA III 2.5″ Internal SSD from Transcend is a solid-state drive housed in an alumium case and is used to upgrade or add additional storage to your computer. The SSD370S offers SATA III interface, weighs only 58g, is only 7mm thin, supports the TRIM command, and has DevSleep. These features will make your computer lighter, save power, and run everyday tasks such as booting up your computer, launching applications, and transferring data quicker.
SSD370S supports SATA Device Sleep Mode DevSleep, which preserves battery life better than standby mode because the drive shuts down completely. When you need to start working again the drive wakes up in less than 100 milliseconds so you can start working almost instantly.
Transcend has also provided you with SSD Scope software that is available via download. SSD Scope monitors the status of the drive and enables the TRIM command in the operating system to increase the lifespan of your drive by accessing the cells on the drive less. Also in the software package is a System Clone utility to help transfer the data from your original drive to the SSD370S making upgrading your computer easier. Additionally, a 3.5″ bracket and screws are included for installing this 2.5″ storage drive into a 3.5″ bay.

I just replaced my 5400rpm 120GB dedicated windows HDD. USB adapter is not included for easier cloning so I just installed initially as a extra F: drive to clone and then I just switched cables to be detected as C: After additional Windows optimizations for a SSD drive, my 2003 pc 4GB Ram DualCore CPU it is working fast as expected. Before I have some annoying delays on some applications that are much better now.

Replaced a clunky old 1Tb HDD in an HP8000 desktop with this Transcend internal SSD. Very easy install both mechanically and with the downloaded software. Windows 10 boots in about 15 seconds and noticeably more responsive. Highly recommend this product as a 75 year old non-geek. Had a support question about partitioning and my email was effectively answered quickly by Transcend.

Bought this drive primarily to speed up boot times on an aging laptop. This drive did the trick. Programs open much faster and the computer just feels snappier in general. Cloning my old drive was simple using the SSD scope utility. There are faster drives out there but this drive offers very good bang/buck. Very satisfied so far.
