The TEG-S82g 8-Port Gigabit GREENnet Switch from TRENDnet features eight Gigabit Ethernet ports for fast, secure transfer of data. Take advantage of enhanced data transfer speeds of up to 2,000 Mbps in full-duplex mode providing sufficient network bandwidth for activities such as streaming HD content, transferring large files, streaming music and more.
This TRENDnet switch also comes equipped with 16 Gbps switching capacity for advanced network configurations. A 16 Gbps switching capacity offers better total throughput than broadcast networks as the traffic is spread across multiple physical links rather than direct connections throughout the network. The 256 KB data RAM buffer helps to ensure a smooth flow of data by allowing for timing corrections within the data stream.

This elegant device has no software to install, no configuration options to choose, and no complicated setup. If you can hold an Ethernet cable in your hand, aim it at a little hole, and push it inside, you got this. If only all technology was this satisfying. Easy five stars.

Power and Ethernet ports are all on one side, so I can have all the plugs coming in from one direction. Lights/indicators on the other side of the device. Gigabit speeds. Basically everything you could ask for in a switch that costs $25 or less.

This was the perfect purchase for me. I wanted something by the TV set that I could hook up the router to the Apple TV as well as going away from WiFi for other internet devices. I liked that the Trendnet was small and the power and ports were all in the back and the lights in front. A better configuration in this case than the power outlet in the back and the ports up front. It also did not take up a lot of space and the black color was perfect as well.

This is a well built bugger. I like the low power consumption since it’s on 24/365. Power supply fits in my UPS conveniently. Little known Trendnet makes good things. This is my second switch of theirs.
